I’m looking forward to seeing how this mess plays. I wonder if it will work directly with my Hori FS3 unlike every other doujin fighter ever.
good news: there’s 4 more characters at least according to http://m-k-v.jp/story/c01.html
bad news: chances of this game not sucking are very low
why the pessimism, bbb was actually descent, of course if we dont count the patches :looney: , yeah this game lacks some wow factor, but at least i think that this game could be acceptable, i know that with the lack of footage of the gameplay the uncertainty about the quality of the game is high, but isnt hope the last thing that dies after all :wgrin:
Don’t worry, I’m sure that this game will at least be as good as Big Bang Beat.
All my hope is almost gone.
When the game comes out, definitely I’ll give it a fair chance. Any fighting game that turns out great is a plus in my book, since it’s another game I can play. It’s just fun to shit on MKV because NRF can do better (lol yes, BBB) than what they’ve showed so far of MKV. Maybe this behavior towards MKV is unfair, since we don’t know what their excuses are for extreme amount of poverty the game is showing so far, but to that I say, “meh”.
Well, what I don’t get is that they sunk loads of cash into the voice acting and the artwork. You’d think the VAs and artists would want to know what the final product looked like before having their name associated with it. x.x
Pretty much the same here on all accounts.
Let’s hope that they learned from their mistakes. Would pretty much be the factor which determines if folks will follow their future works or not.
2 characters from the 1st trailer, Oscar and Arexis still haven’t been revealed in any proper sense.
I don’t get it either. Wouldn’t be surprised at more NRF drama.
this series looks sick; how many episodes is it gonna be?
online play???

You’ve gotta be shitting me
Also: want vid of test
Doujinship lists specs in their ad for MKV. It includes this: ???. Google tells me that means internet access so I assume online play exists.

“For a while I was wondering if everybody in the team had quit again, since the guy leading NRF apparently has a lot of problems”
Did all those super talented pixel artist leave after BBB or what? Or I guess they got jobs, with their kind of skill.
If I remember right BBB got pushed on to a group that splintered off of NRF, Aja Games.
In other news we’ve been working on translating the character profiles for the game. The amount of work that’s had to be done to get them in a readable state was incredible, since the original Japanese is barely coherent most of the time.
Otto: He’s like Ragna, sort of. Maybe Sol.
Silvio: Of course, he’s Jin or Ky, take your pick.
Yuri: ABA?
Tamara: This chick is just cheesy as hell.
Folo: Bridget, of course.
Virginia: Who knows. We just call her Mega Milk.
Nobuko and Smile are still unfinished. The last four characters – Ivan, Sven, Oscar, and Arexis – haven’t been given a profile yet on the sites I’ve seen, so I know nothing about them aside from “Arexis is the leader of Vermilion”.
tl;dr: donjon game storyline
Cool stories bro.
I wanted to main Yuri from the beginning.
Now I’ve just read her story and she seems even better.
I love me some crazy Emo chicks.
I’m looking on Smile for this.
Same, unless Oscar and Arexis look good.
Otto fo’ lyfe. Gotta play the asshole with fire/blood powers and a sword in every game.
Of course, Yuri is going to be my character.
All the profiles have been translated btw, working on personal quotes now.
This just in: MKV’s plot is exactly like BlazBlue’s with a rage virus.
Wow, they finally released some info on this game huh? Well, I did my part for giving the game it’s deserved exposure on our main page blog: http://www.neoempire.com/
Linked to Bellreisa’s wiki too, hopefully people start playing this game (I mean even if it does turn out bad, it can’t be worse than SFIV =D).
