Dude! thanks for that little piece of information, you have made this combo Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy easier. I’ve gone a few times where i can get it 3x in a row and nailed it after throw on my 2nd try after reading this. I have modified it so its easier for me to do, so I’m getting less damage, but once i get it down ill switch it up to max the damage. thanks again.
That’s awesome to hear man, glad I could help. As soon as you start getting in a groove, you’ll be set, but I definitely agree with modifying it until you get it down pat. Good luck to you though, keep it up.
@vsDenjin, I was able to nail the 1 million damage combo that you did…about 3-4 times. I can get the delay of the air series but after that, I always seem to mistime the L Grenade Toss. I haven’t hit that sweet spot yet but in time, I will get it down. Thanks for sharing the tech too.
Yeah, it’s definitely one of Chris’s tougher combos, but 1 million damage meter neutral combos are pretty rare about the cast solo, so it’s all worth it. Make sure you buffer the Medium Grenade input while you’re in the air and then press it as soon as you land. It actually feels like you’re pressing it right before you touch the ground since you can’t visibly see the first few frames of landing. Hope that helps and good luck man.
Also, I’m almost wrapping up the high damage team combo compilation video. If anyone wants to see their team in the video, I’ll try to get a combo that fits the requirements of at least 1.1 million damage while only losing at most half a bar. If you already have a team combo that fits these requirements, feel free to shoot me a PM and you will definitely be credited in the video. Happy holidays to all you gun slingers as well.
I took a break from Marvel and now I am back messing around with a new team. I got inspiration from Bee’s (Spencer/Frank/Dante) team and I think this variation of Frank/Dante does very well too. The real beauty of this team is you have two very good assists that can be used offensively (as shown in video) and defensively (Jam session covers what Chris can’t zone), Shopping Cart assist keeps opponent in block stun and pushes opponents back.
I think this one of the most efficient teams with Chris on point. Hope you enjoy.
If I can figure out how to record voice in my own videos, I will make a demonstration video and break the team down for people. At the moment though, I have no clue how to do it, so these type of videos will have to do.
Windows noobie maker. Honestly, I haven’t even attempted to watch/read a guide on how to do it, so I have no excuse. Once I have a little time, I’ll sit down and figure it out.
Well, you already know how to add music, just record yourself using Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) and add that file the same way you would a music track.
“Demolition Chris” coming in about 2 weeks. Mainly BnB’s but all pretty much practical. It’s more of a stepping stone to those who want to learn Chris. However, there are some elements in there that OG Chris players can use as well.
my dude!!! lol. that chris combo at the 35 min mark was sick. all that came to my mind was Lil B… let that boy cook. cause the flame throwers were crazy. and thanks for the vid. i picked up a nice combo from you on chris after a airgrab or ground grab.
Great find. once I saw the video it gave me an idea of a possible setup. I put the dummy in the corner and set it to all block, then grabbed and snapped him out. then set it back to throw tech. as the dummy came back in i called IM Repulser assist and then set a land mine. right when they landed on it i was able to grab them out of the explosion. I nailed it my first try and then was unsuccessful quite a few more times until hitting it again. I cant get it consistently yet, but im trying.
I am unsure if i can get it to work if they push block the assist, but I think if you eyeball it you can still get it to work. Im going to try to get it down w/out PB then work on with PB. I did also manage to get it to work mid-screen too, but I realized the dummy was set to random tech, so I cant be sure if it worked, but the explosion did go off and was blocked, so Im fairly certain it Can work mid-screen. I don’t think im gonna be able to get a video of it, but maybe with this info maybe you can make one?
Good stuff. I never thought of using the land mine as the incoming mix up. It’ll explode when they land, regardless of when. Still, the timing is strict and eyeballing it might take godly skill to execute consistently enough to use in a match. Also, if whatever you’re locking them down with has too many hits, they can push block and stay in the air long enough for the land mine to explode on it’s own. In the video, all three guard breaks are done at midscreen, so it definitely works there, unless you’re talking about something else. Let me know. I’ll mess around with it a little more in a minute or so.
EDIT: Alright, so after testing some incoming set-ups with Jam Session and Land Mine, I came up with some uneventful results. There are a few issues with trying to guard break on incoming. One, eye-balling the opponent to see when to throw is near impossible to do even remotely consistently. I set the dummy to ‘Random’ guard and tried the set-up and landed it once out of many many tries. It’s just too tight to be confirmed that way I suppose. Regardless, you can in fact put down the Land Mine at a point where no matter whether they push block or not, they will fall into the Land Mine. The only issue with this is that you have to put the Land Mine down while Jam Session is coming out (or whatever lock down assist you choose), so the opponent can simply just get hit by the assist and escape with Chris still recovering from the mine. Maybe if there’s a way to make it work with Drones, I’m not sure, but with assists like Repulsor Blast and Jam Session, it seems we are out of luck for more reasons than one.
