Money matches don’t hurt the community. Infact I think that it makes EVO that much more exciting. Its the same thing as putting some money on Pacquiao vs Hatton except we have Watson and Gootecks. If Ryan doesn’t want to bet his own money, I’m sure he has some fans out there that would take him based on his performance at Final Round and for the fact that he is on the So Cal SF4 team and Watson isn’t. The number of responses and views to this thread show that this is definitely something the community would want to see at EVO. But we haven’t heard from Gootecks yet so who knows…

LOL @ Whotecks. Money matches hurt the community to a degree though. Money matches like Sanford vs. Duc, or Amir vs. Hsien are positive. Even matches that are to rematch someone who you lost too at a tournament are decent too.

However anyone who has been to a tournament know that many of times people do money matches to win their money back. Since they know they have no chance in hell of placing, they just try to solicit money matches at tournaments to try to break even. That hurts the community, because some people only go to tournaments to do this.

Just a thought from a random nobody.

By the way, I like Watts because he’s an OG, and he doesn’t make me feel old. But seriously Gootecks got this for sure.
