Thanks guys… just understand this will ultimately help the SFIV community which was the reason gootecks decided to choose me to do this with. If you don’t approve, oh well, rag all you want… but I WILL get good. I’m not saying I’m PRO now… I said I WANT to go pro. I’m not going to win tournies over night… I’m giving myself about 6 months of 40-60 hr a week practice before I start competing unless I see drastic progress sooner. gootecks has helped other players get into top 8 status for local tournies and I know he can help me too. Again, you’re bashing a person who only has about 20 hrs of hardcore practice under her belt… if you wanna talk shit do it 6months from now if I don’t make any progress.

Basically the only reason I mention I’m a girl was to show that I’m trying to get more female involvement with SFIV but I feel like if I had not said I was a girl I would have got a little more respect initially. THAT is why I play halo with voice chat OFF and Have a Spartan or Sagat as my gamer profile pic… it’s a lot better beating someone or losing to someone and getting a message back from someone saying “great game dude” then it is losing to a guy who KNOWS I’m a girl saying sexist remarks back about how all girls suck blah blah blah. Ultimately just trying to level out the M/F count in the community.
heh well I’m playing against pros on xbl but I really am not ready to lose 30-40 bucks in a tournament so soon. haha I know where I stand. I waited about 1 year after starting Guitar Hero to start competing and after 1 year of competing all the time I got top 200 status in the world and went up to top 5 another year later. I know this is going to take time… and I am also not trying to overwhelm myself. I can get my ass beat by those same people for $.25 at AI so I’m in no rush to lose money that can be going toward some events. Thanks for the suggestion!
Don’t worry you will still fucking suck really fucking bad in 6 months. We will probably see you officially retire from the SF scene and go back to your Guitar Hero game.
tournaments are cheap though. usually about $5 entry fee and pay per play. it wont hurt to enter some since ai / denjin are close to you. ranbat season!

I did see two girls there playing each other for a whole minute or so… then they took off. Didn’t know one of em did top 8 commentary, I Think I was outside at that point answering gootecks twitter message as to who made top 8.
I’ll give Ciji the benefit of the doubt. Sure, why not. But, understand coming in here saying you will get to top 8 will sure to fire up folk. And why stop at top 8? Street Fighter legend and homie, Alex Valle, once said: “if you ain’t top 3, wtf are you?” Now that’s old school.
