learn to use magneto alone before you learn to use him with psylocke. now that you’re stuck that way, you’re going to have to retrain yourself to think entirely different. next time you want to learn a character, learn them without an assist first, then when changing the assist, you can still play that character since you can play them alone. your magneto probably sucks if it’s alone, since you say that you start with clkx2+psy EVERY TIME, as you said.
in the beginning of the match mostly i start like dat but u said imma half to retrain everything all over agn. like wat would i have to learn i can do a few ROM setups wit magz alone but ur right my magz does suk i need sum help fast well tell me wat i would need to know

magneto is not meant to be far away from your opponent. he dies that way
i can’t help with magneto fighting a sentinel, because sentinels are the reason i dont’ compete anymore. i can’t get around them for shit…
as for what to learn with magneto solo…
- learn to zone with his sj.hp adxx hp
- learn all the solo rom setups
- learn to reset solo before you learn to assist solo
- learn to use offensive strats for things other than offense (eg. justin will commonly use air dash to play defensively)
basically, me telling you isn’t going to do jack shit. it’s a skill, something that can be learned but not taught. go watch matches. watch the DJ-B13 style resets in his videos. everything can be found at www.combovideos.com

PS: getting used to sentinel projectile is tricky. if youre going to use MSS, i’d suggest using drones instead. they lock people down, so you can always stay on top of them. as long as magneto is near your opponent, his chances of dying went from 1/1 to 1/100
