Mighty No. 9 - Keiji Inafune's Next Mega Man

Tyrone… why?

Hindsight. When this shit was first announced, EVERYONE had high hopes and rushed to back it. The only people who didn’t do so didn’t refuse out of a lack of faith in the game, but because they didn’t like the idea of Kickstarters in general. You’d have to be some kind of ass to talk shit about the backers because of how things are looking at this point in time.

What does this even mean? It’s not my fault you guys are being completely illogical. Either come with an actual counter argument that proves you understand how animation and game design works, or stop with the tired, copy/paste bullshit.

I’m not defending the outcome by any means, by the way.

im not going to argue shit with you, you fucking up will never become tired

how many times have people had to sit you down because of your “thoughts”… when I said why I said it because you are looking for something to argue about…your the aggressor here

the rabbit hole goes much deeper but someone else can argue with you I am just saying your reaching…

check your microaggressions bro

lol

I’m your aggressor now?

Heavens forbid I ask you to actually present an counter point or opinion instead of jumping on a bandwagon and fishing for empty likes from simpletons. How monstrous of me! Go ahead, retreat back to Tumblr. I won’t oppress you any longer.

Of all the stupid shit you guys have said or done in your attempts to hide the fact that you don’t actually have a retort to something…

Edit: Need more :rofl:s

There’s a button for this

Who did you call a retort?

I didn’t back it because I’m a broke scumbag who didn’t feel like paying the donation needed to get a copy of the game on release.

What makes this more insane is that guy had a wife, kid, and a full time salary job while making the ENGINE and the game, which only took 3-4 years.
On top of that, he actually had more animations for the character sprites during certain attacks, but the game had so much animation he had to cut off some bits cause the Xbox 360 couldn’t handle it (this is an actual thing).

Also, LOL @ someone fuckin’ linking a kotaku article to defend their argument. GTFO!!!
Being involved in the game industry, I will tell you, it cost a lot cause you’re always trying to find specific talents to help in your project. Some people excel in art, program, music, etc etc. But what if you find that one person who can do multiple things? Those people are very, very rare, and tend to “charge” more for their services but at the same time, once things go into plan, those people are forced into one part of the project.
Obviously there’s a lot more to cost, but that’s kind of the jist of things (kind of…)

In my case, I left for now, since I actually want to be that person. Re-taking school, and doing a lot of personal studies to make sure all my attributes match up once I’m ready (which won’t be years). Thing is, too many people want it easy.
But that’s the problem, making a game isn’t easy, and you have to give up a lot to make something you love. But not everyone is willing to give up… well anything. And sometimes, greed tends to take over. It all becomes a battle of who can make more, etc etc.

***FOUR MILLION US DOLLARS.

$4,000,000.***

the kickstarter from the beggining seemed kinda ridicilous given Inafune is a gaming perosnality, and could easily find the funding for the game if he wanted. His name carries that kind of weight.

I personally wouldn’t kick start anything when I have zero return investment. And like I said, the only game I’d be stupid enough to give money to a kickstarter is legends 3

Wow you’re a really fucking stupid one ain’t ya?

Forgot all about this game until youtube and its intrusive ads forced me to look at this and then had the nerve to proudly show that is on the ps4 platform.

This is why I don’t fuck with kickstarter. The screen shots for that igarashi game aren’t looking any better…

To be honest, this only happens when big name industry vets go to kickstarter. They don’t NEED to go to kickstarter, they could get a job with any company and direct a game with their resumes. They simply go to kickstarter to maximize their profits.

It’s different when a small indie team is making a game versus a guy who has like 20+ years in the industry.

Yeah it’s sad that people out there are making more with less money and experience… Still wanna play that dungeon crawl game with the chick using the sword n board even if it does look slow as shit.

I just don’t get what all the vitriol is about. The game could look better, but it looks fine and fun.

It looks like a flash game which would be fine if it wasn’t funded by fans after being baited and switched.

Obviously posted in the wrong topic.
I wonder what topic he was posting in… Xenoblade?

This is what happens when you fall for the kickstarter scams.

I’ll fund the game if they plan on giving me some cash per unit sold. If not, then they can kindly fuck off. Not funding your game for you just to have to buy it on release.

My favorite donating incentives are the ones that are like 5K+ and they let you have dinner, or tour the studio, or some shit, but you have to pay for everything.
