I found out about this game just hours ago, and started reading this thread with anticipation but…
The rise of everyone’s expectations to the stars, and their gradual but certain fall into the depths. It was really tragic.
I’m honestly sorry for anyone who had legit hopes. Granted the game might still turn out OK but it was one heck of a rollercoaster…be strong bruvs.
No real news in a while, but official and community sites are up.
I KNEW this game was going to end up this way even from the very beginning.
And I’m still buying it, too. Just to annoy you guys and hope he makes a sequel.
That was the most un-hyped trailer I’ve ever seen.
That trailer felt like someone dangling keys in front of babies.
Can’t wait for Beck to make his way to Super Smash Bros. Day one purchase imo.
One hit death mode? That makes me slightly excited again, it was looking a bit on the easier side.
I’ll grab when it becomes free on PS+.
But the game has been free since day one.

Inafune has lost any rep he has left. If ANYONE trusts him again your a dumb fuck. The fans can make better mega man now too:

I liked the narration.
That’s pretty much it.
Difference between this and what the fans do is that they can work with the formula already. Inafune sort of tried reinventing the wheel. Im not trying to defend some of the massive clusterfucky things that have happened, but it isnt a fair comparison.
I really don’t get the hate for that trailer unless you already had no interest to begin with, the lighting and especially the coloring is a lot more vibrant and appealing than in previous trailers and the game looks legit fun too. As someone that has been “meh” on MN9 for a minute consider my hype levels restored somewhat, cautiously optimistic this will be a damn good side scroller.
As far as the average platformer goes, it probably will be pretty good, but by now that’s not really good enough.
This will be a wait-and-see for me. It just seems very bland.
Since monies was pledged…I’m not going to bitch about it much.
I get it anyway, so hopefully it will be good enough.
