Mighty No. 9 - Keiji Inafune's Next Mega Man

But who wants to go home… AND WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME???

Should change the thread title to “Mega Man Fans Are Cursed”.

So wait people are thinking this game isn’t going to come out? Or are mad they gave a bunch of money to VAs?

If you’re mad they are asking for more money… don’t give them more money. That shouldn’t be too hard, right? I’m sure someone is waiting to tell me how retarded I am but whatever.

I gave them $20, and that’s all they’re getting from me. They can ask for as much as they want and try to sell whatever the fuck they feel like… Doesn’t matter to me one bit, as I won’t indulge. Just gonna wait for that release.

@Raz0r

I simply stated the fact that a large portion of the kickstarter fund raised are the salaries of Comcept/Inti Creates which is not the case of many other indie developers who for whatever reasons don’t have such a financial safety net and risked everything to make their game a reality. I didn’t state my personal feelings on these 2 facts one way or the other, yet in response you completely misrepresent my post, make random assumptions about me, and go on a nerdy rage filled rant about irrelevant topics.

For someone who claims to be a reporter it’s sad, laughable, and ironic as fuck that you’re incapable of doing basic fact checking on a gaming forum. No wonder you’re getting fired. But don’t worry homie I got you:

Oh and Po good looks on agreeing with the poster who said 4 million dollars isn’t much way to stick to your guns and not be a hypocrite:tup:

I don’t see the big deal in Inafune asking for more money. He keeps providing stretch goals and people keep giving him cash, I’m not gonna hate on his hustle if it’s working for him. If you pledged a ton of money on this project, that’s on you. I spent $20 bucks when the campaign was first announced, and I’m not dropping another coin in the bucket until the game is actually released (gonna pick up a console copy).

I’m not gonna knock Inafune for asking for more money but it feels trying to do too much with this game. He wants to put all sorts of shit into the game and has a limited pool to draw from. This kind of thing that fucked over Double Fine in their development of Broken Age.

I mean the last email had some statues. That seems a bit too much. No game and you’re already making figurines… That’s a bit crazy.

Inafune should maybe follow the K.I.S.S. rule, sounds like dude is biting more than he can chew.

It’s like he’s the next Peter Molyneux

Ain’t much room for interpretation there, chump. You made this post, not me. You clearly show your disdain for the developers of this game simply because they chose to stay at their day jobs. Anyone would interpret what you said the same way I did. I misrepresent nothing. The message here is clear as day to anyone: “I do not endorse Comcept because unlike other indie developers these people did not make this game the central focus of their lives and are asking for more money after they were given $4 million. If they quit their jobs and work only on this game they wouldn’t need more money.”

If you wanted to convey another message, write that instead of what you did, you fucking oompa-loompa.

I didn’t interpret it that way…

lol @ childish insults, stay mature SRK.

LOL Raz0r Your complete lack of reading comprehension caused you to go on a very salty, butt hurt rage filled post when in reality I never said nor implied anything you seem to think I did, it’s that simple. In fact several times throughout the thread I’ve said I respected Inafune’s hustle, but again your fact and logic checking skills are just Dan tier clearly. Keep up the ad hominems if they make you feel better son, just try to be more creative with the short jokes please.

Thank you, also back on topic the thing that matters most at the end of the day is are you going to pay for this game? And for me the answer is a definite yes, unless of course it somehow happens to get absolutely terrible reviews from everyone and the game play looks like garbage, but I doubt that will be the case.

Po you’ve stated your rage about the business and politics about MN9 over and over, but I don’t think you’ve definitively said you wouldn’t buy it, so can we all assume you won’t and vote with your wallet?

Yea man, all politics aside, what do you think of it as a game? What is your opinion on the gameplay we’ve seen. I’m probably getting the game if the final product looks good because all that politics shit doesn’t really matter to me, so can we talk about the game for a little bit now? Did anyone here play the Beta? I didn;t get to and i don;t remember the impressions people gave if they did. I only watched one Youtube video on it, and it was A German Spy’s playthrough.

What where other peoples opinions? I haven’t gotten to play but the video of the Beta I saw looked pretty fun.

The team has enough extra content on their plate already

Extra Stages (+ Call stages)
New Game Plus + Turbo Mode
Boss Rush
Challenge Mode
Online Challenge Mode
Online Battle Race
Ports to every damn platform

He gotta relax. I know this team is more experienced than the Shovel Knight team but we are still waiting for the extra content for that so I know these guys are getting pushed as well. They’ll get the game out for sure though.

Merchandizing and show stuff: It seems Japanese companies trying to hop on the Pokemon/Yokai Watch train for tie ins since they are successful with it. I know the Battle Network series was the most successful for sales and the tie ins definitely helped with that.

It’s not always successful though.

Capcom tried to do the tie in stuff for Gaist Crusher and that failed.
Sega seems to be failing with the Sonic Boom tie in.
I doubt the Pacman show did that well for the 3D Pacman games but I’ve no clue.

Only Kickstarter I’ve back that seems to be in an iffy state is Radio the Universe. He release a vid last month, but he is a year off the predicted date. ATTLYNEX collection, Stronghold: Hope is not Lost, and Shovel Knight all released without issues. La Mulana 2 and Shantae are still on track.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s wise for Inafune to try and make a Mighty No. 9 animated series. The franchise isn’t established yet, and it’s far too early to gauge potential interest when the game isn’t even out. Battle Network crapped out money because it had the whole Pokemon thing going on. Multiple versions of games, trading cards, tournaments, toys, anime, you name it. Capcom had a great cash cow…and then they screwed that up with the release of Battle Network 4.

That flash drive looks cool. It’s probably like 2GB, though…

It’s too late. Bridge has already been burned.
