It’s just opening up the paypal donations to tiers like the Kickstarter had before for people who missed out the first time around. If they hit the new goals great and if they don’t oh well. We still get the same game promised to us at the end of the Kickstarter.
You people really like to make a big deal about everything.
I just wanna get my game when it comes out and that’s that. Don’t show me every little thing, don’t ask me how to design shit, just make it and make it good.
No, I don’t recall there being this much information and shit being shown for the many many many other great games of the past nor do I recall voting on the character design I just had creators create and if it was cool to me I bought it.
Also I don’t like being shown too much, it’s like when I go to the movies and they have previews and those previews ruin the entire plot for the movie they’re trying to sell. That happens way too often with games now and this is the next level of that to me.
Though (and this is my fault for not clarifying) I was saying so in defense of my knee jerk reaction to the claims being made that they were doing another kickstarter, which were obviously false.
I don’t care about that shit. We know the game is coming. Him asking for more money doesn’t mean I have to give him more money so I ain’t trippin.
I want to enter new discussions about Mno 9 without having to scroll pass or respond to dissertations about the ethics of kickstarter use and that fucking concept art picture that the game will never fucking look like, and why a kids animation idea looks kiddy! Wasn’t that community manager shit off topic enough for those guys? Lets talk about dat gameplay doe. Looking like Megaman with a powerful dash right? MMM I’m loving it.
I’m just a sad Megaman-addict man I gotta get my fix of MM info and don’t need it laced with all that bullshit . We finally got a new dealer and these buyers trying to fuck up this new peaceful environment.
For the record, unlike most kickstarter game developers the guys at Comcept and Inti Creates said they won’t quit their regular day jobs and that some of the money from the kickstarter would go towards their living expenses.
I went to that panel at AX as well. Inafune mentioned that all the money raised for Mighty will be used, these are just extra goals. He is also pushing for a Steam Early Access release before the end of this year.
I don’t understand the appeal of Steam Early Access for a game like this. Why risk burning yourself out on this game before it reaches a completed state?
Well maybe a demo where we can play one stage and beat that boss and the demo’s over? At least that before the year is over? Just something reasonable where everyone can easily play a quick demo of it.
If you are backer go to the forums and suggest that.
It’s like someone yelled “New Megaman Type Of Game” and your ass came running with cash in hand. Like you ignored everything Inafune said and the kickstarter clearly had lined out. This is supposed to have constant updates and with fans giving their feedback. Just avoid this thread or the kickstarter page if you don’t want to know anything. That was the whole point of this Kickstarter otherwise they probably would have scrounged up funding like they did for Azure Striker.
