I have no problems with anyone wanting it on a console/portable system, I just don’t think this game would be a resource hog for a PC/laptop. But to each his own, I guess.
Whoa looks like we have a winner. Closest I have is playing all of the nes/snes/playstation/2/legends/gameboy ones never got into battle net ones all I thought was pokemon, ehh no thanks and that was the end of that. I just enjoyed them it was mindless fun that reminded me of being a kid. Kinda like playing Castlevania games though I never did give the new one a fair shake. I beat them all and I frequently play them again along with metal slug they are games that I can’t quit.
These games were for me like that line from Billy Joel’s Piano man which went something like…
“…Son can you play me a memory? I’m not really sure how it goes. But its sad and its sweet and I knew it complete when I wore a younger mans cloths…”
But this is a “bottom to top” issue. If it really were a big deal, then games with female leads would be getting huge sales from female crowd who supposedly “prefers them to other games”, then it would be profitable to make them. So either the crowd of female gamers is so small that it’s not worth to cater to it, or that this small crowd really doesn’t give a damn about this, and only a few hundreds of people cry about it on twitter without affecting sales one bit.
It’s like how the NBA is funding the un-profitable WNBA, and how sports newspapers went PC and put WNBA reports on the front pages. Did this approach of shoving it down people’s throats made the situation better? Nope, it made it worse. Profit and media cover would be coming naturally if WNBA was interesting to watch, but as long as it isn’t, not for men nor women, you can’t fix the problem via other means.
So back to gaming- When the potential female crowd decides it finally wants to play some games, things will change naturally, without internet outcries.
Is it going to super hard like the old Mega Man games? The old games really tested your abilities in precision movement. If you were not precise, you failed.
Am I the only one disappointed with the No.5 they settled on? It looks okay, but some of the others especially the spiky airplane look way more badass.
Yeah, I’m honestly getting tired of both Capcom and the fandom trying to segue Megaman into this 8-bit box…it’s too safe. I thought some of the newer stuff for classic MM like Megaman 8 and Powered Up were pretty good in their own right, and with some polishing could’ve been the future for the character. MM9 was a cool throwback, but there’s no reason to keep the franchise locked into that style.
