Either way I doubt Capcom really has a leg to stand on with this. He’s not stealing from his own artistic creation. He’s just making something outrageously similar to something he already made…thats owned by Capcom.

There was an episode of Bar Rescue where a similar thing happened… A guy created a cup and concept for a drink while he was at one bar, opened his own bar, then basically copied the same idea… Ended up having to shell out a lot of money to pay the legal fees when the original bar took him to court. I believe he won, though.

I think he would do it just because he wanted to do Legends 3 for so long. He offered to continue his work on Legends 3 after leaving and Capcom refused. I bet the success of this kickstarter will lead to Capcom giving him what he wants.
