Traits. As in, being identifiable doesn’t mean a character is exactly like their intended audience.
For Supes, how about: trying to do the right thing in a world filled with shades of gray? As one example of many for that character alone.

That example alone is why characters like Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc… are all more identifiable than a character like Superman. The former try to do it as normal people who attained superhuman abilities(or just natural ability and technology), and just want to help people because of an experience they had or simply because they want to help those who can’t help themselves. Normal people can relate to that(Police officers, firefighters, doctors, etc…). Superman is just someone who ended up on Earth with superhuman abilities granted to him by the Yellow Sun. Yes, he chooses to help people, but he’s borderline invincible. There’s little to no risk imposed on him, unlike the people I mentioned that put their lives on the line for the sake of others. He might as well do it. How can you relate to that?

Also I would like to see how anyone can identify with billionaires who have superpowers called plot armor.
Easy way to solve this, make a female head for No. 9 that is some 10 dollar dlc that makes him talk in a bad male trying to be female voice and then have everyone in the game address your character as him/he/etc just to piss them off after they spend that cash lol.
Also Takashi Tokita, Masato Kato, Yuji Horii, and Hironobu Sakaguchithe should make a Chronotrigger remake and get my boy Toriyama a six pack to do that art…

- Well-placed QTEs aren’t bad… The option of pressing a certain button to avoid an otherwise unavoidable attack or trigger an animation where you beat the boss into oblivion after you’ve already beaten it is welcome to me. Just don’t let them be deciding factors in whether you win the fight or not, and we’re good.

Oh gosh does Comcept need to make more of the gameplay clear to us. This thread has gotten ugly twice now and I feel a third round coming up.
It’s classic Mega Man game play+being able to transform into different forms to get through stages…I’m sure there’s more but that sounds pretty clear to me.
I hope we get wall clings and dashes…It’s all I ask for.
