It is a lot more fair than socal’s team. Valle already choose his team. No qualifier tournaments or anything for his spots at all. You at least have a chance with Ari’s here. Come to evo north, plan to goto evo worlds and whoop ass in the qualifier tournament at evo north.

I keep hearing Chicago has good comp and more players. Good comp=yes. More players= Better comp… not necessarily. And what’s the point anyway… most people who post on the Chicago thread end up beefing with one another at some point… my 2 cents.

I’m just chiming in to 2nd anything said in SUPPORT of Floe getting an automatic spot. He is the best in the midwest at SF4 right now, and was appointed captain of our team for a reason. I think any of you downtalking him should step up and play him first to 10. If you win, you get to be team captain, if he wins, you give him 100 dollars and back down.

Yeah. Just for the record, I was never disagreeing with that (though I get why it came off that way). I know Ari’s respected and proven. It was never a personal thing at all, it was just a question of whether or not the rules were fair.
But after hearing that the Socal team didn’t even hold tryouts, and hearing everyone rave about Ari’s SFIV skills, and people from my own scene bitching me out , I’m cool with it. Dead horse is definitely dead.

Yeah, I think it was coincidence that just MN was posting in this thread. I’m definitely down for a MN-IL team battle at MWC, assuming enough of our guys go. At the moment, there are only three of us going for sure, everyone else is tenative. :tdown:
A couple of us are thinking about heading down to one of your ranbats some random weekend. It’d be sweet to get a bunch of casuals in too. We just gotta get out of Minneapolis and get some different comp going.
Wanna get away? Southwest has non-stop flights from Minnesota to Chicago daily… or is it the other way around? lol
MWC is still awhile to go and from what i understand nothing will be decided upon until then so I’d just chill about it, believe me a lot of people are getting ansy about proving themselves at MWC, just don’t worry too much about it for now. There are still 4 spots open and even though maybe your character has already been selected by the team captain, you have plenty of time before then to come up with a contingency plan if you can’t get Ari to change his mind about what character he’s playing.
So just keep doing your thing, and remember there’s still a few more “minor” midwest tournaments before MWC also so keep that in mind.
That’s my take on the thing, at least you’re trying to qualify for something where 2 members have been decided upon already, who between them have played in 1 tournament for the new version of the game that has been reported on SRK, while I’ve gotten either 1st or 2nd in 9 tournaments here and in surrounding states.(refering to the unofficial HDR 5v5 event at EVO). But you don’t see me bitching about it, I’m just trying to get out there and maybe make a name for myself (and having fun talking garbage all the way there :lol: )
