It doesnt matter, we will have a head start on slash yes, and its still only on arcade until 4/20… but RELOAD is the main game anyway which is where all the prize money is, so you really have no reason not to go. Cmon… im probly gonna try to make it out to tx showdown again along with more chicago guys this time, so tx should definetely come. Besides, there will be Slash casual all weekend, so you will at least get to play the game ALOT and youll have 2 whole days of casual to practice for the tourny on sunday
Flash: You can fly into either midway or ohare but ohare is closer. If you happen to find cheaper airfare that goes to midway you can just take the CTA orange line right from midway and then transfer at clark/lake stop downtown to the blue line with free transfer and then take the blue line to rosemont (or ohare but that wouldnt make sense) and youll be pretty close to nickels, about a 20 min drive, maybe someone can pick you up. The cta train only costs $2.00 and you get free transfer. About housing, i probly cant promise anything, espessially since im already going to try to house tons of other people, and i have yet to figure out exactly where for sure, but ill post updates when i find out later. Just split a room at red roof with someone, theres always people with rooms.
As for the KFC, yes it seems to have perished, though it was probly the shittiest KFC ive been to so im not surprised. Theres a taco bell across the street from a burger king about 5 mins down the street so whatever.

I was talking to some cats when I went to MO last week and I started to strongly consider the Idea of having team tournies for the $200.00 pot instead of the singles. as in the winning 3 man team would have the pot instead of one person.
Pros:
More Diversity in character choices
A lot more fun and strategic( counter selection)
Cons:
those coming Just to win the Pot just for themselves may not feel it’ll be worth the trip(but there will be no less than 3 GG tournies to enter soooo…)
Some people don’t have any friends or ppl willing to team up with them .
So post up…I want opinions…depending on the response I’ll change it or leave it as is. remember this is just something that came up to try tomake this THE BEST GUILTY TOURNAMENT EVER ON US SOIL. and I want everyone who comes out to enjoy themselves and have a blast here.

Also, I want to make it a tradition, since I liked doing it and starting it, to have the winner of the tourney either buy or at least CHIP IN for a bottle of booze. Better yet, just have the top 3 split the cost for a bottle of booze. Booze + money = atatatatatatatatatata

This isnt gonna be gay like last MWC team tourny where you couldnt switch characters and then all of the sudden durning semi finals, it was made to be all right to switch characters for no reason. That was retarded. And simply put… Unfair.

Shrug kinda neat but still… I think having the pot for singles was good to shrug… Why not just do something for singles like $100 extra for first, second gets $50 for second and 3rd and fourth get $25… Hrmm… acctualy 4th should get less then 3rd… Hrmm im retarded though im sure someone could split it up in a cool way or something… I dunno how do math… =/

well whoever teams with me is going to win the team tourney.
Team tournies are a great addition. #R makes for a great team tourney game, the variety of matchups is a blast and it would set a nice standard for the future. I would say Clayton has a good point about setting the rules on characters. Part of the fun and excitement of team tournies is forcing people to pick a character and then hope their teammates can pick them up when that character runs into a shitty matchup.
In other words, by all means go for it.
I’d like to see this prediction come true.
