I’m a dedicated arcade gamer in Kuwait, in that place called White Tower (Burj al Abyath in arabic). It’s a nice small dedicated shop, with all sanwa sticks and buttons (though some need replacement). I used to spend most my time playing Guilty Gear, but with now BlazBlue out no more time for that. The place has insane KOF players, this is just an example:

And since we have a KOFXII cab, they’re all being dedicated to that now. Along with that we have Tekken 6: BR (with some insane players). The biggest thing that is missing I feel is Street Fighter 4, it was hooked up via PS3 to an HD screen but just wasn’t the same. The SF pros just stay and play online with each other, and recently there was a huge huge tournament held in Kuwait for SF4, which you can see in this clip below (skip to 1:10 for tourney coverage):

And now with BlazBlue out, we have a lot of people playing that. We are very dedicated gamers, and even more a dedicated community, with a very high level of play. Canto stanast?

A dedicated group of people who organize tournaments in kuwait, you should check the website out for tournament news and stuff.

Also there will be a huge regional tournament in the middle east that will be held in Kuwait during this december, expected to have more than 150 SF4 players the tournament will be 2v2 or 1v1 haven’t decided yet but initial news says it will be 2v2 (tougeki style) depending on participation number.

Lag between UAE and Pakistan is okay I guess. There was lag; but not enough to destroy the game.

Yea there is slight lag, but its still acceptable I guess (3 bars right?), hope to see you online soon to get more games with you.

As for my El Fuerte, he is still in training, I remember you almost got me a couple of times, your Blanka can be scary sometimes so I still need to practice more, I am also trying to work a bit on Dhalsim on the side, but for now my main focus is Fuerte, he is just too much fun to learn.

Oh, and Irontriggor is a beast! I still have a hard time against him, his Abel is just too good, I barely manage to squeeze a win out of 10 matches maybe T_T I havent seen him log on PSN much lately though, is he playing more on Xbox now?

Irontriggor being a beast is an understatement! I haven’t managed to beat him like ever. He’s pro-stuff. He does come online, although you’re right, not as often as before. I think it was because of Ramadan; timings were different, he used to log on real early in the morning.

Anyway, na man, I’m still learning. But yeah, we should have matches again soon.

Hey dudes, I think I’m moving back to Kuwait for the next coming semester and if I do I would love to orginize some tournaments and get into the scene some more. I’ll scope the scene out and I have a plan to find all the arcades in Kuwait (with pictures) and start up a thread here. I’ll keep you updated. Oh yeah, I make custom arcade sticks and if I can find the materials over in Kuwait I can sell some if people are interested.

@Canto: Do you think you can help me with the scene in Qatar? =p
