Maybe I got the wrong impression, but…
I got the idea that, for 4-player mode, its still the 2v2 format, but each player controls only one character. I didn’t get the idea of 4v4 free-for-all. Only time all 4 characters were on the screen is when both teams activated their… mode that lets both characters fight… (Cross Rush) Dunno what that is called. WOMBO COMBO! I’ll look it up and edit this. I do agree that 4-player free for all would be stupid, lets hope it doesn’t exist lol.
Edit: so I think what you’re talking about is the scramble mode, which thankfully doesn’t seem to be free-for-all. It’s just 2v2 with all characters out, all the time. That would be fun.
Also, this game is going to be fucking sweet.
I dont even know what was going on in the sfxt system update. Its like everyone is fighting everyone and there is tag teams and kazuya dies now ryu is purple…(Rufus needs a purple spiral on his tummy) Shit is crazy. Looks like alot of fun! Im very glad they decided on having 2v2 player matches. Also Iron fist looks crazy good imo and virgil looks like fun to me like a Wesker/Dante combo I am definitly gonna fool around with him a bit (sounds so gay). Doesnt everyone need a sword guy on there team?

On a side note I dont think you realise that this has happened to me before many times usually by a ken or yun. I think you forget i played this game a bit a couple of years before we met. Dying by taunt is by no means a special situation particularly in a game non of us really know how to play and a game where I currently main a character whos only good matchup is Sean. In the words of Hakan, “SRSLY?”

Thought I’d contribute some impressions.
I’m really loving how Vergil turned out, almost exactly what I expected: Final Judgement hyper, a DT, and a Summon Swords hyper (It’s level 1! Makes Stryder’s ouroboros [level 3] look subpar). His level 3 caught me by surprise… if you pay attention to the recent trailers, he reverts from DT before finishing his lvl 3 even when there’s plenty of time for the DT to deplete. This is before the KO as well, it’s not the same for Dante’s DT and lvl 3. I think it’s an enhanced version of the lvl 3 (besides damage boost) or you need to be in DT to do his lvl 3, which I hope isn’t the case but could be likely.
He looks like he’ll have a solid mixup game better than that of Dante’s. His teleport looks much more better than Dante’s, plus I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave him three variants of it like they did in DMC3… I’m looking forward to some hands on impressions after TGS. At one point, I saw one of his multi-hit specials (Lunar Phase in DMC3, twirling kick thing) cross up on hit (one of the initial attacks hit, rest whiffed for some unknown reason, but final few hits crossed up) which is going to be amazing if you can hit confirm off of it.
Now I’m convinced to buy Ultimate just for this character.
Anyway, enough with the nerd shit lol.
As for SFxT, I’m extremely hyped for it, especially since it’ll have the 2vs2 thing. Building synergy with a partner sounds so rad if you can put that at a tournament level. I’m loving the idea of the Pandora-factor(?). It’s a comeback factor with a risk… if you don’t finish the opponent before it runs out, you lose the round. You also lose your partner (for the round?), which cripples you heavily. So fuckin hyped lol.

Wow a lot shit announced at TGS lol, here are my thoughts.
SF x Tekken is looking like one of the best fighting games ever created, 2v2 battles, online training mode and not to mention pandora mode. Pandora mode is going to be a amazing mechanic because it’s basically a life threatening gamble. Nothing like a damage boost plus infinite EX moves and Supers and only having a short ammount of time before you die. I’ll be making a team thats revolved around Abel and Pandora, infinitie Brainless anyone? As for new characters I’m leaning towards LiLi if Sakura doesn’t make it into the game, she looks way to good. Plus I can already tell she’s going to be offensive rushdown.
Also I’m not sure if any of you watched Zangief’s gameplay trailer but he’s going to be a definite threat imo. Ex Green hand puts the opponent into juggle state so you can Ex Hand, st.lp, Ex Hand.
As for UMvC3, Vergil looks amazing but its hillarious that they kept his shitty voice actor from DMC 3 haha. Also Iron Fist has the coolest looking one inch punch ever.

Lame David you know as well as I do the tiers in that game are extreme. Low tier in sf3 is the lowest of the low compared to other games in the genre. However it is my choice to play hugo so meh.
