You could have won first, but there was a lot of cheating going on because our dojo and the dojo who held the tournament ain’t cool with each other. But that was good shit coming back from that 0-4 to win 5 to 4 that first match…must learn the Blitz technique. I’ll definately be in the next tourney, but at least I got a trophy out the deal :tup: It’ll be cool if we ran in the team sparring competition.
That is correct and like you said they cant just cut out Pluto. The Planet Pluto is not a planet at all, but again they cannot just say anything without pissing off the people.
Also, the god damn thing is 9 billion miles away, no way in hell unless the damn thing is as big as Jupiter can it be responsible for the deviations in Neptunes Orbit. Bigger then Pluto yeah but it would have to be of substantial size bigger then Pluto and Neptune its self for it to cause such a pull. According to that report it is about the size of the moon. Something that small would more likely be considered a orbital satellite of sorts rather then an actual planet. The planet is over 3 times as far away the pull needed and the orbital timing would be to great to even consider it to be the reason Neptune has a dent in its orbit. By that it would be like saying our moon has a direct influence on Pluto.
The third thing is that because its so damn far away no one REALLY knows if it is even part of our system let alone orbit. I know it said it has the same 45 Degree angle but so does a lot of shit floating out there.
Again Pluto was never really a planet it was just some LARGE meteor that got caught up in some gravity and wammo the ninth orbital planet has been found. Dont ask I dont know, I am only an armature.

It might be the tenth planet, but then again it would have to be the eleventh planet because if you remember scientists thought that the rubble in the asteroid belt was thought to of been a planet too.

The game looks fun, but the way it plays does not seem like it would be that much fun. From the looks of things it is even more-simple then MVC 2 but with the Tekken twist on 8 sided moving. You get a power button and a run button of sorts kinda like Mortal Kombat. And from the read of things they say it is a run around, tap hit, run away, throw shit at your opponent all day, type of game.
Pluto is a planet not just because of tradition, but because there’s no set criteria for a planet other than “it orbits around a star, living or dead”. That’s the debate right now, what sizes are too small for it to be a planet, and what sizes are too big for it to be considered a planet(as opposed to a brown dwarf). Some scientists think Pluto should be the cutoff point in terms of size, some think it should be composition, others think a planet should be anything big enough to form a spherical shape. The larger scale is a bit more straightforward but still confusing-how big does a gas giant have to be to be called a brown dwarf?
So until they have a set criteria, this object, and other, slightly smaller planetoids, has no real classification. the IAU has already stated they’re keeping Pluto as a planet no matter what, and as the scientific body that decides these things, they really can’t be argued.
Further, they know that it’s orbiting the sun, because they’ve been watching it since January to see if it’s orbiting. It is at a weird angle, but so is Pluto.
The rubble in the asteroid field would have been a small planet had Jupiter’s gravity not been so great to keep all the rocks from coalescing into a planet. Even so there’s one really large asteroid that some scientists think should be considered a planet, since it, too, is big enough to form a sphere like all true planets do. Of course this also lets in about 5 or so other Kuiper Belt objects, but it’s a good start for the planet debate.
And what, exactly, seperates a large meteor from a planet? At this point, nothing but a word.
In some way you are right, and in others you are wrong. Unfortunately they are only keeping Pluto as a planet because of tradition. As far as it being one of the original planets you are wrong. It was nothing more then an asteroid that got caught and so not it orbits. The eccentricity of the planet is totally off compared to the rest of the planets.
Also, as far as it being classified there is a classification since it is not what is considered a planet it is only said that due too tradition. It is not a Giant, it is not one of the Solid type planets, it is not Gassy, it is nothing that would even be considered a planet so what is it? it is a big floating ball roughly half the size of our moon covered with solid methane. According to scientists big ass asteroids come in all sizes ranging from 300 miles to around 1000 miles in diameter. Pluto is a little over 1000, Small as SIN. (not really small as sin but you get it)
Point being is that it is not what would be classified as a planet and since it is nothing that is classified it is merely called a planet because of traditional means. This thing coming around was probably caught up in something close like what Pluto was caught up in.
What ever the case may be it is out there and we have nothing more to do then to move forward.
Also, Asteroid belt was THOUGHT to of already of been a planet Genius! Scientists believe that a large meteor hit it and broke it up causing the belt.

Come on; dont tell me you did not know about it. Yeah, the scientists think that ever galaxy has a black hole in the center of it. We got one too, and on top of that we got another one that is moving towards us on an intercept course, go fig, this solar system might be swallowed and compressed long before our sun has the chance to become a red giant and swallow up the earth. Red giants diameter at its smallest would be about where the earth is in comparison to the sun how fucking cool is that?

First off, we don’t know jack shit about Pluto. We’ve never sent a probe, about all we have is Hubble images, and if you look at those yourself, you’d realize they suck pretty bad.
We DO know that Pluto has an atmosphere of methane that freezes when it gets too far out. However, we also know that it’s warming up for some reason, while still moving out. The current theory is there is thermal activity going on under the surface, but we won’t know for certain until 2015 at the earliest.
Further, you ignored the simple point that we don’t have a clear definition of a planet. So Pluto is on a different orbital plane. What’s your point? It still orbits, and that’s about all we have down for a planet. Once again, we don’t know what the difference between an asteroid and a planet is, aside from the fact that “some are big, and some aren’t”. I’ll ask you this, though-what seperates Mercury from being a simple asteroid? It’s got no atmosphere, it’s just a rock with some craters and what we think are active internals. What seperates it from Pluto? Pretty much just tradition. You’re also completely off in Pluto’s size. It’s 2320 km in diameter. The largest asteroid is 950 km in diameter, and outside of this new guy, the largest Kuiper Belt object is about 2000 km. We don’t even know how big the new planet is, because it’s so far away. They’re guessing somewhere between 1-3 times the size of Pluto. Mercury is 4800 km. Double the size of Pluto. Suppose this new planet is as big as that. What then? Are you still going to say it’s just a “big rock”?
You insult me by assuming I don’t know about the black hole in the center of the galaxy, however, I don’t believe our system will ever get close enough to it to get sucked in, and even if it did, we’d be extinct by then anyway.

I might not be a scientist but I have been reading up on things concerning astronomy.
It has been a hobby of mine since I was a kid. There are things that I know and could share with you that you only thought you knew, but I guess you know everything.
P.S No Pluto does not have atmosphere because like I have tried to tell you before Pluto was a CHUNK of ROCK that got CAUGHT. Was nothing more then an object that strayed away from the Belt. You know much like most of the moons of Jupiter. Ok now just to clarify something, A big chuck of Ice and Rock comes to about 50 or so astronomical units away from the sun, the crap around it starts to melt and forms an atmosphere, then when it moves away the atmosphere or vapor freezes and falls back down and then there is no more atmosphere. You do know that it kind of sounds like a comet! The closer the comet gets to the sun the more shit starts to melt, it only shows a tale after it gets looped around by our sun, in which case it has a SMALL atmosphere? The only thing with Pluto is that it moves SORT OF with us. Pluto its self is STILL being debated.
The only planets that have atmosphere and solid core are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. Most of the shit that has been said about Pluto is speculation. An object that far from the sun and ANY HEAT source cannot show activity out of the blue. There is nothing out there that can give it heat or help it to sustain it. There is nothing in Pluto to cause fusion of any kind there for it will stay a chunk of rock in space unless there is a force that wants to bring it closer and closer to the sun which has not happened.
Also you did not read your little web page posting did you, if you would of read it you would of found that they do believe they know how big it is, they do feel it is about twice as big as Pluto, and that it is 2000 miles in diameter, which would make Pluto HALF. That means that Pluto is roughly 1400 Miles wide for the love of God its moon is almost as big. You really did not read your link did you?
