I just watched the Justice League episode, “The Terror Beyond”. Both parts. For those that don’t know, Solomon Grundy died at the end. I swear, that episode hit me hard. That was one of the most well written episodes of the series. I always liked SG, but this put him up there as a hero, and that was deep.
Tonight’s episode is gonna be cool as hell too. Definately one I’ve been wating for as it features my favorite character finally in the spotlight. I won’t spoil it yet, so stay tuned. The series as a whole is great. I wish it was still an hour, unlimited seems like a tease every week.
Are you fucking stupid; Solomon Grundy dies all the time. Every time he comes back he is representational of a different aspect of his personality. It’s even roughly represented in the god damned “Solomon Grundy” rhyme.
That’s about as dumb as saying “God gave his only begotten son,” being that he’s supposed to be immortal, and would have been returning to him anyway. Why don’t you just stop splitting hairs and say “God put his only son into an amazingly shitty situation for a relatively short period of time.”
No I am not stupid. If you find another JL ep. where he dies, let me know. Bear in mind I know nothing of Solomon Grundy from the DC universe, or the rhyme. Enlighten me, Ivy.
That’s why Flash is my favorite DC charater. People my say “He can’t do anything but run”. He can do so much more than that. Think about it, if he is super fast, imagine if he uses his speed to hit you? Can you imagine how fast he had to be going to travel the world in that short of time and then hititng Brainiac/Luthor??? They finally applied the Speed Force to the character, the Speed Force gives all the Flash their powers. The Flash is a heritage, it goes from generation to generation comic wise Wally West is the nephew of Barry Allen, the Flash before him who died saving the universe from tapping into the Speed force. I don’t know the whole story, but something happened where there were too many Dc universes and a robot was trying to destroy them all with a Big Bang to bring balance to the cosmos. Barry Allen ran in a vortex so fast it stopped time. Then ran back through it to restore order and erase the Big Bang. As a result he died from using too much of the Speed force like Wally almost did in this episode. That was cool how they incorporated that. I don’t remember exactually what went on in that story with the Barry Allen Flash again cause it was like 1985 and I never read the whole story. But it’s called Crisis on Infinite Earths, it’s in Trade Paper back form now. Great Episode, it’s about time Flash got some more exposure.
Alright… I’m back in MI again. Been a few years, but this time I should be around for a while. I’ve played a lot with the Houston scene and know pretty much everyone from Stargate down there. So when and where are good times to play? Where are the tournaments around here? And I pretty much play everything, but my best games are pretty much Alpha 2, ST, and GGX.
Because I thought DC sucked!!! So I never read Crisis entirely. Marvel Comic’s art and stories was even better back then so DC didn’t appeal to me. But I do know that Crisis was very important still to this day.
Sup peeps i just got back to detroit from a 15 hour drive from new orleans. That place is hot as hell. Anywho my school and team called the mob sqaud are now world champions in the king of slugfest…yeah that what it was called. Well about new orleans:
There is this 5 mile strip known as bourbon street where madi gras take place i guess we missed it but…
all the places are either clubs, food, or beer. People there was either drunk or half way there. Lots of beads and breast where there. I had a lighted ball necklace until a bad chick showed me the good and i give the damn thing to her…very nice. Plus its this place called the cats meow where the you dance or make out with a chick or they make out with you… :badboy:
I’m not elite, I’m just shocked that people who seem to be so into something can be almost completely ignorant of the broadstrokes and defining points of their interests. This is an immediately available and chronologically constant medium, unlike movie remakes where the poseurs can evince a minor amount of history with for a short period of time to gain their credit.
…as for a site, I think www.google.com is racially-integrated now, so even black people are allowed to use it, Hollow. I don’t know of a specific site to point you to because I don’t read sites, I read comics.
Your lack of knowledge about what interests you is not my fault nor my responsibility. Just because I’m surprised you don’t know about things doesn’t make me responsible for your learning them.
