HSF2 has the character versions from ALL versions of SF2, including Super, ST, and the original 3. Don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to take the HF characters out for a spin against the ST guys.
I just want to say that I hope y’all aren’t too hyped up on the game because it’s not as great as you are probably wanting it to be, nor is it even totally acurate in some regards.
For example, CE Vega is not correct (they actually make him better by giving him the triple roll and slash) but I’m an arcade enthusiast so I want my single, not triple. 
Also WW characters don’t do the crazy damage that was universal when the game was current. This basically makes WW characters pretty weak on the whole, with maybe a few exeptions, but I don’t know for enough to say for certain which characters if any can actually benefit from their WW incarnations in this game. For example, if they mess up the WW damage and they mess up CE Vega’s roll and slash, who’s to say that WW Guile still has his glitches? If he does then obviously he’d be an exception but I don’t really know the glitches too well so I haven’t attempted to replicate them.
Finally, a friend of mine described this game as all the incarnations of the characters placed in the SSF2T game engine. On the whole I’d have to agree with him. Besides the WW damage example, HF characters are certainly not HF speed. So it’s just taking the WW or HF set of moves from a character, but giving him the ST speed and damage settings, thus just simply placing the characters in the ST engine.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’ll get this for XBox Live when it comes out, but only for my love of oldschool SF. In the end, I don’t think you’re going to see a huge variety in characters picked which takes away from a big part of what is supposed to make this game so cool. There’s no reason to pick WW Blanka, for example, since his damage is toned down and he only has 2 moves. It’s much smarter to pick a later version that has a vertical ball that hits on the way up and the way down and let’s face it, his electricity move even gets a little better. Or pick the newest ST version where he can do the quick hops and his slide and has a super move. See what I mean?
Yeah, I always figured it was going to be a novelty thing myself; one of those game wherein both people playing have to have the mindset of sacrificing certain things to get a good match.
Of course, that doesn’t mean anyone’s going to do that. 
I’m waiting for 3rd Strike on xbox. Fuck Live! though; if they can’t cut the lag on a 60 framer like cvs2 with shot-down graphics, I highly doubt they’re going to do well with a straight-60 all-sprite engine; interlaced or not.
I’ve got a 2G (compressed 1G) of this Mugen shit, if anyone wants it. I have no need for some 200 characters that are all bullshit in a shitty engine.
That’s funny, because the people I’ve talked to said HSF2’s WW characters did more damage and had an easier time of dizzying people. Damage is based on who the attacker is and what game they’re from. No, Guile’s glitches are gone, but you really cculdn’t use those in an actual match-just to freeze the game. Its pretty much the same for the CE guys too…CE Bison is supposed to still be a monster like he was in the original.
I know Scotty has a bootleg version of the game, and he’s pretty knowledgeable about the original SF games, and he gave it a thumbs up, so I certainly can’t argue with that.

To simplify it for the direction it’s no doubt going, there’s NO space on a stock xbox hdd.
C: - System files for dashboards. 750M
E: - Save files, accounts, and soundtracks. 3G
X:, Y:, Z: - Cache. 1G each.
This puts E: at the end of the platter. What this means is slower writing/reading for absolutely everything. Running things off of E: is also not recommended, as it will cause drive fragmentation very very quickly due to the limitations of the FATX system.
A few mods back I started charging an additional $50 if they wanted “just the stock drive filled,” because to write it to operable capacity (not as though it already isn’t there anyway) I have to sit and watch it for hours. This way, people are less likely to be all “oh I don’t need a replacement HDD, I’ll play everything off of discs, even though I am not smart enough to know where the fuck to get discs from, where to get the software from, how to burn the software to said discs, or to determine why some things won’t run off an unwritable media.” and they’ll just get a cheap drive. It’s a lot better for everyone that way, because then you’ve got a big drive to dump shit onto, so you can have games up the ass all day, and you don’t have to spend money on discs, or your time researching where things are and how to do them, because let’s face it, if you felt like doing that “to save [you] money,” you’d be doing that to learn how to mod the xbox yourself too.

hmn… my desktop seams to be out of wack. Few days a go it rebooted and would not boot to windows aging. Give the error system folder cannot be found. So I re install windows then the computer reboots once, I turn it back on and it reboots again (all after like 30 min of use) after the second reboot the computer gives the same error message.
Is that a virus? or does my hd just suck…
Right now I am installing windows xp aging, and Ill run the system with no internet connectivity as I try to burn files off a seemingly unaffected partition.

CVS2 is a long game hell it takes about a literal 4mins for both players to get there character,ratio,groove set So instead of havin a turtling fest with players like julian that take 25mins for a 2/3 match set I"m gonna make that game SINGLE MATCH DOUBLE ELEMINATION!!! that means (if you don’t know) when you lose one game YOUR NOT OUT but lose two games AND THATS IT!!!
Like I said before,This will improve all of that counter pickin bullshit!! that 2/3 gives EXAMPLE Julian plays C-Groove Bison,Geese,Yama the first game beats the hell outta you and then the second game you beat him with your hardest team,Now he has you set on thinking this shit is as hard as it gets so for the FINAL game of the set he plays C-Groove Claw vega Yama and Sagat GAME OVER FOR HIS OPPONENT!! saw it a million times and it’s bull,PICK YOUR REAL SHIT FROM JUMP START.
Third strike tends to go lil bit faster seein as how it’s only one character per player so I’ll keep that at 2/3 for kicks finals will be 3/5 grands are the same.

Ok the 7th of August, at 5 or 6. Count me in. sure i will be there why not? why instead of making it single match double elimination just make it 2 out of 3 and thats it. No double elimination just 2 out of 3. If you lose you lose if you think about it that will really make the tournament faster. You dont have to make two brackets; you dont have to try to match the people who are fighting in the double bracket. If a person loses twice they are out, no waiting for the next bracket, it gives people a chance to get used to the other fighters because the tournaments outside of this will have 2 out of 3.
Oh and save me some pizza LOL. when I get off work. I am going to be dieing from hunger. I can not play well on an empty tank man. thanks for the pizza man, I always knew, somewere deep down inside, you had a heart :lol:
