Hi. I’m Eric. I’ve been to FNG a few times with Ivy, but beyond that I’m not particularly familiar with any of you.
Bear with me as I navigate the depths of vBulletin because all the other boards I belong to are all PHPbb.
Beyond that, I play SC2 with Yunsung, and while I’m a latecomer to playing 2-d fighting games, I’ve been poking at it on my spare time and eventually I’ll figure out how to make them go.
I Bought a few off the net backup Saturn imports, plan on buying Panzer Dragoon Saga. BUt Vegas you need a modchip to play Saturn backups unlike the Dreamcat they are not autoboot or do the swap trick. My brother performed that once and manage to get Fighter’s Megamix to work but that was it. They are several ways of places you can buy modchips but I don’t know anybody who solders and I’m not sure gonna do it.
Fal, I remember you. You also played a pretty good Mits in SC2 also. I’m the guy that had Cassie and Xian.

Now if only you knew anything about burning PS1 games so I could get this copy of zanac x zanac to work right :mad: the one guy I talked to suggested a different CDR brand, so thats about the only idea I got.

Why go thru all the trouble of getting your Sega Saturn modded and soldered when you can just get a PRO ACTION REPLAY PLUS like I got? With this device, you can play ALL Sega Saturn import games, no need to swap between cartridges just to play a certain game, has a HUGE SAVING FILE, can INPUT GAMESHARK CODES, can CREATE YOUR OWN CODES if you hook it up to a computer, and a few more.
Getting your Sega Saturn modded and soldered then, you’ll miss out on ALL THE ABOVE, except for playing import games. This is the DOWNFALL OF A MODDED AND SOLDERED Sega Saturn.
All you have to do is look on Ebay for the PRO ACTION REPLAY PLUS version 2.01. Remember, version 2.01, nothing lower.

2.01 is the version that runs vampire savior I take it? I’m pretty sure you could use the version right below it and make a simpler internal mod to make it run all the games.
The only annoying thing about it is that you’ll have to deal with the GS menu always popping up when you start a game with it plugged in. Also, you can’t play KOF 95 with the 4 in 1 cart, since it requires its own special ROM cart, but it’s not a particular big deal, since, well, its KOF 95. It was kinda not good. Well, you can’t play bootleg games either.
Saturn rocks though. Lots of good games on there…VF2, Fighters Megamix, Galactic Attack/Layer Section, Tempest 2000, Panzer Dragoon 1-3, Clockwork Knight, Nights, Sonic R, Bust a Move 2, PTO 2, Magic Knight Rayearth, and that’s just US releases. Though there’s some good jap only games (Zero 3, Radiant Silvergun), I found alot of em are also on PS1, like raystorm, thunder force 5, and soukyugurentai, and generally cheaper.
Anyone else see the demos for Sonic Xtreme and Shenmue on saturn? Those both looked really cool, it’s really a shame neither came out (especially Sonic, since Shenmue did eventually come out anyway).
The modded Saturn is only for backups not the real games or imports. I know this because a friend of mines got his saturn modded and still couldn’t play imports so he had to get a 4in 1 plus ram card. I been had with the copy of Vampire Saviorand MSH vs.SF. I enjoyed the Sega Saturn(still have it) bought one before the PSX (I only wanted that for SFA and Marvel SUperheroes)

Personally, I think that tonights game is a Must Win, for Detroit. I don’t see a Replay for more than %40, but I’ll pay that easily. But I can’t find Guardian Heroes for less than $60 so you can see why I want a burnt copy. But that game is worth it too.

Thats funny because I beat the shit out of people that played 2 D games for years…and thats the only game I play(it hasn’t been a year yet) at wizzards because thats the only good 2 D fighter they have…what you think I’m going to play that SVC shit or that samsho V crap? whatever, or how about that marvel vs capcom 2 where you don’t even fight(assist all day)… I don’t think so 
P.S. I do like that Guilty Gear X2 Reload (Xbox import) that Techno got on his box, it’s the shit and I will get it when it comes out over here because it’s going to be on-line…I hope
