It is what it is. If you put yourself out there, you’ll get rejected more. If you want to be a boxer, you’re going to get hit sometimes, it comes with the territory. But really, rejection is just ego at work. If you have a more fragile sense of self, then rejection is going to hurt worse, but the fact of it is, it’s the opinion of a stranger really. Most of the time, you don’t know this chick from Adam, so her opinion shouldn’t matter.
In regards to the 47% of women ignoring dudes that come on to them, I get it. I took over my female friend’s Bumble account for a bit on a bet to get her dates (which I fuckin did!) and it was exhausting keeping up with all the matches she had, and she’s probably a 4. So I can’t even imagine what it’s like for a chick who’s really attractive. There isn’t enough emotional energy in the world to deal with all those people coming at you.

Jokes aside, I hear ya. I got over it fairly quick IMO, but that is advice that would better suit those who wish to pursue a relationship. Each side has their sad song on replay. Men are playing,“Why don’t they ever love me?” and women have the time honored classic,“Where have all the good men gone?” playing as well. It used to be men doing all the pursuing, so women didn’t have to worry about much. Things have changed drastically even in the last 25 years, much less the past 50. A lot of guys don’t give a damn now and aren’t hunting. All I’m saying is, women are starting to see the same thing men went through in the dating scene and they don’t like it one ounce. Idk, I hate rejection personally. And I say that as someone that has done more than his fair share of walking up and talking to and trying to fuck random bitches.
Once you become really accustomed to it, it hurts less and less, but it isnt like riding a bike for me at least. If im out of the pickup game for awhile… like just a couple of weeks, the fear comes back.
I don’t think it’s as simple as you don’t know this chick so it shouldn’t matter. I mean it can be that way, but sometimes you do actually know the chick, or at least will be around them again (like if she’s a regular at the club you frequent or something) but there’s also the fact that confidence at the end of the day is one of the best ways to pick up women… but confidence doesn’t come easily. You can fake it till you make it… which is the best way… but true confidence comes from positive reinforcement, and that can only be attained through actually getting the girl… or having girls hit on you enough that you already know you are a decent catch. For the rest of us, that rejection shit hurts especially when the chick isnt nice about it.
What I did was I studied game and shit to the point where I was reasonably confident I had access to good game and just had to calibrate to the girls correctly (only go up to chicks that are either up for it with whoever, or chicks that are giving me hints and signals) cold approaching chicks that I haven’t gotten any cues off of is something I stopped a long time ago. I need at least a reason to be approaching other than “jeez I think your hot” something I would do as a lukewarm approach is sit at the bar or when I was buying a drink at the bar, I would just turn my head and talk to whatever chick or person was next to me. If it was a dude, cool… I’m being social and he might be an interesting person to talk to and eventually be a club friend if he’s a regular or going to become a regular in the future, if it’s a chick… cool, I’m just introducing some convo to pass the time. It doesnt come off weird because I’m not talking to her specifically just to get her number or something, I have a reason for being there. If the convo goes well and she’s receptive… I can chill with my drink or invite her outside or whatever comes to mind.
That’s the way I used to play the game. Going up to randoms and stuff can definitely work but my ego was a bit to fragile and my game a bit to weak to be able to get a high enough percentage to really validate the hit to my ego every time a chick looked at me like why are you talking to me… even if I had a good excuse for why I was talking to her.
Picking up girls face to face isn’t the hardest thing to do by a long shot, but it is something that you need to develop a skillset for and if your ego is taking hits it’s even harder to develop.
I don’t think randomly going up to chicks is going to work unless you’re famous or super good looking. That’s just asking for trouble imo especially these days. Dudes that cold go up to a chick they don’t know and start hitting on her without any sort of context are usually the dudes that give the rest of us a bad name, especially if they’re bad at it.
