I say let’s do a team tournament, and that everyone should come before the tournament about 3 hours ahead of time, so we have that first hour to prepare, and then the next 2 hours to run the tournament. I think we’ll finish before that and have more than enough time for casuals, but it’ll be much better than 2 hours and cutting it close to the main event.

Edit: Team tournament will be 2v2.

Any suggestions?

Edit: For the team tourney, let’s just do the sign-ups on this thread. Just post your names and your team here. If you don’t have a team, try to arrange one on the thread or at MGL. We will wait 30 minutes for anyone who didn’t sign up online, and then we will work on the brackets thereafter, having approximately 2 hours to run the team tournament. Rules/format will be posted.

Team tourney 2v2:

  • Entry fee: $10.00 per team

  • Sign-Ups will start at 4:00, and matches will begin no later than 5:00.

Rules:

  • Double-Elimination
  • Cannot have multiple characters (ex. having 2 Makoto’s on the same team)
  • Best of 1; GF 2/3

If less than 2 teams come within 45 minutes after sign-ups begins, the team tourney WILL be cancelled. So post on here, PM me, or msg me on AIM.

Does norcal have enough players to run a decent 3on3?

If not, 2 is still a good number

Agreed, I’ve tried running a 3v3 in a big tourny, turns out I had to switch it to 2v2’s instead.

Both cabs for 3S, buttons and sticks, are now fully functional. Also competition buttons were installed in the h2h cab. Yays.

Finally…the wepeel, HAS COME BACK…to a tournament!!! Last time was NCR for team play…this time it will just be me and CvS2. Albert you better hope to not face me in the brackets! I am hungry

Just come by if you guys don’t have partners, we’ll find some sort of arrangement through the forums here, or at MGL. Actually, considering the amount of time left, you guys better figure it out quick. Probably just go to MGL and we’ll hook you fools up with a partner or some shit like that…

make sure to tag out mid-round, and occasionally you will need to call in an assist, so have your partner ready to jump in and smash on high punch.
