Any 3S heads that play here? I moved here recently and looking for some good 3S comp.
we’re bringing back CvS2 soon here
Theres a good amount of good 3S players here but they also play other games too. You just gotta ask for a 3S station during our weekly Tuesday events and youll be sure to run into heavy competition once people see sombody interested in playing.
After many years working with MGL from running tournaments in the arcade on arcade cabs to setting up game lounges with consoles, it has finally come to an end.
MGL was once a awesome arcade to play many if not all of the best or latest arcade games, especially fighting games. It was the first arcade to have an early version of Street Fighter II and it was also the first arcade where I saw and played Street Fighter One. Over the years it has been a home to some of the best fighting game players in the world.
When I first started working at MGL it was because I loved the atmosphere. I had been competing in many fighting games including Street Fighter just about every week there before I applied and was hired. Getting hired at MGL was probably one of the best days of my life as I was working for an industry that I actually loved and cared about. I eventually moved on to jobs with higher pay but I found myself hating every single work day of my life. It was then I decided to come back to MGL and do what I loved for a living even though the pay wasn’t as great and I remembered what it was like to be truly happy in life. Over those years I have met new friends and joined many new game communities. Seeing the joy on these players faces and experiencing the hype is something I’ll never EVER forget and hopefully I can continue to experience this for the rest of my life.
The FGC is my family, the arcade is my home. Saying goodbye to this once great arcade wasn’t an easy decision but I feel like my family and community needs me to take things to the next level. I have be offered a management position at a soon to be opening Round 1 Bowling & Amusement arcade/entertainment center locating in San Jose California. I just want to thank every single player and every single person who helped or supported me in reaching my goals/dreams. None of this could have be possible without passion of the FGC and its will to stay alive. Never forget MGL and everything it’s done for the FGC, it’s very existence played a HUGE role in all things fighting games… past, present & future.
