EPIC BATTLES Card Fighting Game

What up everyone,

Since EPIC BATTLES is a Street Fighter VS. Mortal Kombat card game I decided to make a thread for us in the Pacific North Matchmaking to unit all others who play and are looking for matchmaking in the Bay Area. If you dont know about EPIC BATTLES, info about the game can be found at www.epicbattlestcg.com If you are interestind in getting into the game, started decks($12.99) and booster packs($3.99) can “ONLY” be found retailing at BLOCKBUSTER locations. This card game is a “BLOCKBUSTER exclusive” and can’t be found at your local trading card shops.

MGL FALL 2005 Tourney date pushed back…

Since I don’t have much time this month I have decided to push the date for the MGL Fall 2005 tourney back from mid Oct. to early or mid Nov. This also gives more notice in advance for players so the turn out can be as big as the the MGL Pre-EVO Battle 2005 was.

CAPCOM VS. SNK 2
(1ST MATCH best of 1/LOSERS best of 1/WINNERS best 2 of 3/GRAND FINAL 3 of 5)

MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2
(LOSERS best of 1/WINNERS best 2 of 3/GRAND FINAL 3 of 5)

TEKKEN 5
(1ST MATCH best of 1/LOSERS best of 1/WINNERS best 2 of 3/GRAND FINAL 3 of 5)

NOTE Rules above may change due to “TIME” issues

  • All games will be held in double elimination format.

  • All games will be capped at a 32 man bracket.

  • Only the loser of the previous game can change characters.
    (Although changing of super arts and character order is allowed)

  • No game breaking glitches.
    (Kara Canceling,Roll Canceling & Guard Breaking are not concidered game breaking)

  • Only tourney/MGL staff and those who are up for the next match may be within the roped off area, all others must stay outside of that area.

$3 entry fee per game / pay for play (1 Token games)

1st Place : 70% of the pot + $10.00 in Tokens

2nd Place : 20% of the pot + $7.50 in Tokens

3rd Place : 10% of the pot + $5.00 in Tokens

NOTE Tokens will not be givin out if the number of players does not reach a 10 man bracket.

2p Jab was off and on yesterday and today. Paul tried to fix it but every time he’d check it, it’d start working fine. A while later tonight the jab would still on and off. Paul fixed it up a bit it was working fine till closing. Still unsure about it though.

I’ll open all the control panels and take a look at all wires,micro switches and push buttons. Don’t trip I’ll make sure everything works by next week for sure.

About the MVC2 control panel layout…we are already in the works of making it happen. Nothings official and for sure yet so dont get your hopes up, but I am using all my power to try and get this done so the babies will stop crying lol. j/k

It’s Official!

Good news,
Next Monday Street Fighter III 3rd Strike & Marvel VS. Capcom 2 will both get remade control panels. The joystick position will be changed for more control and comfort. Many of you have been wanting this for some time now and I am happy to say that it will now be a reality. As for new push buttons, I’ll see to it that they will be replaced as well. As I said before micro switches will be replaced the day of the tourney for maximum reliability.
