Im an employee at MGL, im the short Asian guy working the cash register today. Ill be working from 5-9:30. Ill try to fit in one game of 3s, MVC2, or CVS2 before i leave, so sometime after 9:30. Play me if you want.

Well, it turns out i got off work early (9:00), instead of 9:30. I played one game of MvC2, and i lost to a guy using Blachheart, Cammy, and Sentinel. I then played CVS2 and lost to a guy using N-Yamazaki, Raiden, and Vega (i lost to his last guy).
Joe, Huy, Phil, when do you guys hang out at MGL these days? I’ve been there on and off for the past few weeks to play 3s, but I haven’t seen you guys.

How’s the competion for vampire savior or any darkstalker games you got at mgl. I’m just curious cause i heard you guys have that game and I want to see if anyone besides me and another person that I know who play DS alot in the bay area.
Been an eternity since I’ve been to MGL. But, the last time I saw, there wasn’t anyone playing… not even when it first came out. It’d be awesome if it was different now… great game.
does anyone know how much longer the tuesdays specials are gonna be? last time i talked to paul he said that it might go away…it’s already shortened to 5-8pm on instead of till closing right?

Finding Lost Treasure
Hell yeah!!! I just found and bought a US Ver. of Red Earth(Warzard) for my cabinet. This game is MAD rare and extremly(and I do meen EXTREMLY!)hard to find in english. It was the very first software for the CPS III, unfortunatly Capcom only made so many copies of the game in the US making it one of the hardest/rarest games to find.
The game has a quest/story mode and a VS. fighting mode. There are 4 selectable characters to choose from, Tessa(Tabasa)the witch looking character which made appearances in Pocket Fighter and SNK VS. Capcom. Leo the half lion half man character that made an appearance in the newly released game Capcom Fighting Evolution. Kenji(Mukuro)the ninja looking character that also made an appearance in the newly released Capcom Fighting Evolution. Also last but not least Mai Ling(Tao)the grappler/martial artist that unfortunatly to this day hasn’t made any other game apperances.
In quest/story mode you fight your way through side scrolling levels and eventualy have to fight 1 of 8 bosses. Blade, Gigi, Hauzer(also in CFE), Hydron/Nool(also in CFE), Kongou, Lavia(Luan), Ravange(Secmeto) and Valdoll can only be fought and are not selectable. Being an RPG/Fighting type you gain LVLs and find different weapons/items, along with that you can gain different classes(EX: Kenji can gain the titles Stalker or Ninja) I’ve been doing a lot of research on this game and haven’t got a chance to play it yet, so when I accualy get the game I’ll post more info on this mode.
VS MODE!!! you pick one of the 4 selectable characters and fight similar to other Capcom fighters(combos, supers, ultimate guard). Like I said as soon as I get the game I’ll post more on this mode.
I’ve been working a lot in the past 3 months and am working on buying some sic ass cabinets soon, as well as to continue to constantly PWN with quality arcade perfect Capcom fighting. This was a great find and I am very proud to present to you one of Capcom’s lost treasures.

Good news guys.
First off…I just ordered another cabinet and I should get it by next month. Im getting rid of the US Capcom cab I have right now for a few reasons:
(1) I really dont like the monitor, its really old looking and doesnt look crisp and clear like the Impress did.
(2) Although I had a Q Sound amp built into it, it still didnt sound as crisp and clear(once again) as the Impress did. Plus the Impress had a switch where I could change from Q Sound to Mono(really came in handy when switching to CPS1 games).
(3) Being that its made out of wood its extremly heavy, the Impress had a plastic shell which made it lighter to move around. Plus the US one is taller and doesnt have wheels like the Impress did.
(4) I got really sick and tired of having to move the cabinet just to change the games. Being that the door was in the back I had to move the cabinet…change the game…then move it back. The Impress’s door was in the front, so it took very little time(and effort)to switch games out.
So I have decided to get another Impress, the only problem would be that I would have to custom wire the control panels buttons again…and yes this time around the sticks will kick ass. :tup:
Red Earth has been shipped and will be here in a week or so. I cant wait to pick up Mai Ling and kick Joe Le’s ass.

:rolleyes: …oh…one small detail I forgot to mention. I now have access to my garage again. One of the two rooms will now be mine for WTF ever I want…so our gaming/kick it nights are back. Im going to fix that room up so we can chill, play games on the cabinet, play cards, watch TV, play console games, be as loud as we want (lol) basicly WTF ever we want to do but this time for AS LONG AS WE WANT!!!
