i have a question for the tournament regulars:
i work at san jose golfland. the one on blossom hill. i was thinking of holding some weekly tournaments of a few games to get more regulars to the arcade. im going to go tomorrow to see how mgl runs their tournaments, but are there any ideas or advice on how to run them?
our mvc3 and cvs2 machines are pretty good, so if anyone wants to stop by ill hook them up with a token

Decided to make my first of many excursion to the bay area for competition tomarrow. Decided to check out the MGL for this trip. Two and a half hour drive there and back, with a whole day to waste. I need to get my edge back in MvsC2, and see if I have any hope for any other fighter games. Hope saturdays are good days to find people. I’ll be the white boy in dark flannel.

Good games at the tourney…Im glad the CvS2 cabinet was fixed…the sticks were a tad tight but hey better new then busted…nice job running the tourney Miscon. And madd props to all who fought…

Well that was fun! A Saturday well spent in my book. S3 was an interesting game, and I see I still have a ways to go before I find the right characters that suit me just fine. On the other hand, MvC2 is still as great as I remembered, and it was a blast experimenting with various characters against many qualified competition. This one shaved-head gent in the evening gave me quite a run that helped refine my mind and line-up. I hope to make another trip like this again soon, and possibly to a tournament setting so I can test my mettle.

Yeah i know this is hella random; but i just used well over half a month’s supply of cvs tokens on that game in like half an hour and i need to fucking vent:annoy:

yeah u better watch it, that SonSon game will just take ur money and leave u hangin dry. dam games are good for nothin but makin money offa us unsuspecting victims. playin ricky is less expensive becoz everyone wants a peice of em and ur forced to wait ur next turn before u spend another hopeless token. unless of course there’s only 2 of u and ur realy fellin lucky and want to beat em so bad.
I’m coming by to visit this weekend. Can someone tell Phil that I need to meet up with him at MGL? I’ll post what time I can stop by and play.
