So…I haven’t checked out the broke-ass card system at SVGL…but are all Golflands looking to convert to a card system? I imagine it’s something like D&B’s…which sucks if it is.

Yeah, apparently. Chunk posted in the SVGL thread…and it sounds pretty dumb. Shit is breaking right off the bat, and they’re lowering the Arcade Mania fee because the games don’t work.

Another difference between the two is, you don’t have to worry about people stealing your tokens with the new card system.

Haven’t heard anything about it. I have mixed feelings about this though.
My main concern, aside from them not working properly, is that they’ll be like D&B’s, where you pay disproportionate sums of money for a card, and then the machines take so many different amounts of credits that it’s impossible to fully use the credits remaining…and then they don’t let you recharge the card so you lose out on credits. I understand the genius of the marketing behind it, but that works there 'cause of the alcohol and wimmens that keep the dudes coming back to blow their money. Last I checked, there ain’t alcohol, and there definitely are no women at GL.
It is almost exactly like the token system, except that there’s no tokens. Instead of putting up your 1 token, you swipe your card, and push a button, and 1 credit will be subtracted from your card. The only issue I have is that if someone steals your card, and you’ve loaded it with credits, you’re fucked.

went to MGL today, mvc2 closer to entrance didn’t have all characters unlocked (booooooo!!!) and the other cabinet 1p had a messed up stick
cvs2 h2h, 1p can’t go up at all, don’t know about 2p

I mentioned this a couple pages back. Since I don’t need to pay to get in and fix shit on Thursday nights, I’ve been slowly adding more characters to the board by repeatedly hitting the credit button to lvl up. That was a board from another Golfland location that didn’t get play. The original board that was in there is broken atm, so they threw in that one.
WTH? That shits fucked up again? We just fixed it like last week. Hmm we gunna have to look into this one more carefully.
