BTW, easy way to tell a 15khz (low res) from a 31 khz (VGA - high res) display is to simply look at when the game was made, pre 2000, almost always 15 khz, post 2000, a lot more PCBs support 31 khz (Naomi stuff I’m sure you’re aware of) but they don’t always use it when plugged into a cab, since they often use an I/O converter to take the VGA 31 khz video and bring it down to 15 khz for use with anything this isnt a pretty much recently made machine. If you’re lucky, some cabs have dual or tri sync monitors that due 15/24 and 31 khz, so you could run stuff like CPS2/3 (15), VIRTUA FIGHTER 3/Sega STV games (die hard arcade) which is 24 or even high res stuff like Slash or Cvs2 and MVC2.
