Yeah, I saw it today. They did a good job drilling button holes to make the Tekken 5 cabinet have that vewlix layout. I think the first player side is using Madcatz buttons =/ They were white and felt different from the 2 player side which had the red sanwas. They should be using this cabinet for daily use and charging people for time (30 minutes-hour) play like what Game Galaxy does for its players. Nice to hear about the BYOC.
I think the big TV PS3 layout has a lot more potential and if they moved out of the Wednesday/Thursday slot, it would work a lot better. It’s a nice looking CRT and I can see this working out for them if people get an interest. It’s like a slightly bigger venue fee that lets people have unlimited gameplay in the arcade plus an entry to the pot.
That second player side of the CvS2 h2h is annoying. The screen looks so terrible and I still hate the controls. BlazBlue seems to be working fine.
Can anyone confirm if all buttons/sticks for the cabs on SFIV works? (Said it in plural assuming h2h) If it’s in working condition, I’m definitely coming down this week.
MGL has consistently been fucking garbage. Management doesn’t give a damn, only listens very rarely to those that tell them whatever game needs new buttons, or a new stick. Even then, they try to bootleg it. They don’t give a fuck about arcade games.
MGL fucking sucks. I lost hope for that place years ago. I’m not sure what’s wrong with SVGL that anyone would be looking for something more in a different arcade. Why work hella hard to convince the employees to fix shit when you can just go to SVGL and not worry about it (for the most part). MGL used to be a decent spot, but I think it’s time to let go people.
lmao before i went to socal for school, had good times here as a kid. if this is the place then i’ll come check it out (i play sfiv) to see what’s left of my childhood glory. I have a feeling that i’ll be dissapointed.
i called these guys and they said that we’re allowed to bring our own controllers for the street fighter set-ups… unfortunately for me i don’t have mine with me but i don’t mind using SE sticks to play on.
I’ll be there tomorrow night to check the place out. I need practice for a tourney in socal on sunday, i don’t feel like making the trip to svgl or sjsu. If anyone would like to join me please do so, I really need the competition.
