Meter Gain Scaling SF4

If you played long enough, you might notice the damage scaling. There’s also a Stun scaling and a EX meter gain scaling. I need to confirm a few things about the EX Bar scaling.

In order to perform a combo, I need to build up enough meter to use a 5th EX Bar. To know wheneve it’s possible or not, I’d rather calculate if it’s possible or not instead of spending a few days trying to pull it off and realize that my idea wasn’t possible since the begining.

There is a few way to build up meters. Any block or hit will fill meter AND specials moves (w/ and w/o hitting.)

Here’s the ex meter data

70% 60 ---- 18 ** 18**
80% ** 20/15** 23 ** 7**
90% 60 ---- 6 ** 6**
90% 20/15 21 ** 3**
90% ** 60** ---- 6 6
90% ** 10/20 ** 12 ** 3**
90% ** 40 ** ---- 4 ** 4**
90% ** 40 ** ---- 4 ** 4**
90% ** 20/15 ** 21 3
90% ** 20 ** ---- 2 ** 2**
90% ** 20** ---- 2 ** 2**
90% ** 40 ** ---- 4 ** 4**
90% ** 20/15** 21 ** 3**
90% ** 20 ** ---- 2 ** 2**

Total ---- ** 142 ** 67

on the 1st colomn is the scaling from a normal damage scaling (assuming it’s the same for the meter gain). 2nd it eh meter gain data from www.eventhubs.com 3nd would be the meter gain if special moves’ hit only would scale down and the last one would if everything be scaled down.

Allright here’s my questions :

  1. To fill 1 ex meter, how much would I need exactly? (I’d say 100, but I am unsure of it)
  2. When using a special move in a combo, do the non-hitting part also get scaled down? or which colomn would be the right one?

I hope I posted on the right section of the forum, because it’s a pretty weird question lol

Thanks

This is definately well above the level of Saikyo Dojo. If anybody’s going to be able to pick this apart, it’d be the guys in the SFIV section.

Okay thanks

1 .For the Eventhubs website, there’s 250 meter per ex bar, and 1000 meter in total to fill all 4 bars up.

  1. Each move is counted as one part of the damage scaling, Ultra = scaled once not how many times it hits.

You can double check this by just chaining light attacks and doing the math yourself, you don’t need complex combos to check those things, but it’d take a lot of attacks to check this out.
