.Metal.

old skool deat metal ala DEATH

Some of those riffs sound like they basically just stole Deathā€™s first two albums and called it their own.

Off the top of my head I could hear at least four Death songs in that one song alone. :coffee:

Me too. Some of them were playing in the Death to All tours, so yeah.

Scream Bloody Gore remastered reissue. Sounds have more punch plus the guitar sound has a bit more rawness/grittiness to it.

Rob Zombie going in on people shitting on babymetal makes me really happy. Iā€™m flying back to Ssattle in July to see them play. Iā€™m super fucking stoked.

Anyone want to recommend to me some Pagan and/or Wicca Metal? I really only know of Elvenking (which is by no means a bad thing. Theyā€™re one of my favorite bands) I just love the vibe and energy that style gives off so I want more of it.

Rust in Peace, Nick Menza. Goddammit, 2016 is on fucking fire by taking talent away.

I always like to see when the drummers release videos of themselves playing the songs.

If you are a Tarja fan

Lyrics

Spoiler

A devil sent me your gift as it was taking up
Your face from the deck
Coalescing into wisps from the void
Where youā€™ll spread your words in time
All the heads in the middle of the circle
Take an unfamiliar fate
A drop cuts the eye of sleep
Wanting to know my name
I am nothing but the way down
I could not ever rest my sorrows
All these secrets will unravel
To become greater than the factions
That he murdered and so stole
Oh!

Now there is a point
Insight disguised within myself
Fighting to resist the hand Iā€™m played
If you have to speak this way
If you have to speak this way
If you have to speak this way you forfeit your right

To leave this place
(A vicious cycle holding on)
To leave this place
(And you regain the cycle whole)
We leave this place
(Cause we know, we know)
We leave this place
We know where weā€™re going all the better

Now make us the same!
Taking over
Taken over
Make us the same
Taken over
Fake out in the end
For nothing must end

But the way down
I could not ever rest my sorrows
All these secrets will unravel
To become greater than the factions
That he murdered and so stole

(The silence speaks)
All these secrets come undone
Taking me over, over!
(The silence speaks)
All these secrets come undone

just got home from seeing babymetal in seattle.

holy fuck what a show. it was so good. life changing.

Ugh baby metal.

Anyone listen to dusk and her embrace the original sin?

Not bad. I think I prefer the music for nations one though.

been listening to Razor. From Canada, I think. So good, so much speed.

What do they play?

God forbid some people have fun while listening to good music.

Itā€™s hard to describe. A lot of people put them in black metal, but they definitely arenā€™t.

The original sin is a rerelease of a classic album. The idea is they recorded this version, and for legal reasons couldnā€™t use it, so they rerecorded it as the album most of us know today

I mean if you like it whatever.

It just doesnā€™t feel like metal to me.

It just feels like some Japanese thing with a metal gimmick. Otaku crap is one thing that definitely does not fit in with what metal does well.

Just found out about Enforcer, a Swedish speed/heavy metal band. Their debut album is pretty sick. Canā€™t post the youtube link with the cover art because it has titties on it, so hereā€™s one of their music videos
