.Metal.

bunch of bands from the Dutch metal scene got together for a song to help the red cross

Which reminds me, this was new to me until a few days

THE LEGEND HIMSELF, James Murphy with his own band and the best soloing ever made

Some Doom Metal nobody knows but more people should know:

My Darkest Hate - Fallen from Grace

Itā€™s a little slow tempo, so if you like that check them out.

classic Sabrewulfā€™s theme metal cover

Ozzy parody @ 1:59

lol @ the faces of the people headbanging

Symphonic Progressive Death Metal

The opening part always gives me shivers. That said, I think Lord Worm may be one of the most overrated singers in death metal. Heā€™s an amazing lyricist, though.

Fixes the high E and continues playing like nothing happened, like a shred boss.

http://www.gnoosic.com/ has been pretty great at giving me new bands to check out.

New stuff from Broderick and Drover after parting ways with Megadeth. Preview:

Soundsā€¦ so lame and unfocused. I guess the solo was ok.

a little old-school death metal sound

Dream Theater - Stream Of Consciousness (2003 - Train Of Thought)

If you like old Death sound like Leprosy, check out Gruesome.

Daniel Gonzalez - Guitar (Possessed)
Matt Harvey - Guitar, Vocals (Exhumed)
Robin Mazen - Bass (Derketa)
Gus Rios - Drums, Guitar (ex-Malevolent Creation)

Been struggling to find something new so I went back to the tried and trve.

Havenā€™t listened to old Ulver in a good 5-6 years so hearing this album again blew my mind.

EDIT: Thatā€™s weird, canā€™t get my video to link properly.

Been taking a trip back to black metal, which Iā€™d kind of forgotten about for a few years. Blut Aus Nordā€™s The Work Which Transforms God is pretty cool. It has a very dark and haunting atmosphere, almost like youā€™re literally falling into an abyss.

Just discovered this bandā€¦ Pretty cool tech-death.

When it comes to music, I find classical music (Bach, Grieg, Beethoven) and death metal helps me concentrate and let go the most, so I searched for something that combined both, and it turned out to be awesome.
Concentrating is vital for me as the worldā€™s best chess player, and music absolutely helps. Iā€™d actually like it if we were allowed to listen to music when in school, and when we play chess in big tournaments because I sincerely think that it would improve the results for at least the kids in school.
I would be very interested in seeing the results of a study done on this.

Hereā€™s two songs, hear The Betrayal first, and The Forsaking after, they are meant to be listened to in that order. You will understand why. Make sure to check the HQ option.

Been getting into and exploring a lot of Doom lately. I mean, Iā€™d always kind of liked it, but never really got too into it. Funeral Doom, epic doom, etc. Good shit.

Forgotten Tomb - Scars (Funeral doom from Italy):

Draconian - Elysian Night (Gothic doom from Sweden - I really like these guys a lot)

Esoteric - Allegiance (Funeral doom from the UK)

And of courseā€¦

My Dying Bride - The Cry of Mankind (Doom from the UK)
