Am I the only one that thinks the screws look good the way they are? This is the same way it’s on the original TE and everyone loved that thing. It’s also the same way it would be on virtually any stick if you ever got a plexi from Art. Someone is always going to come along and not agree and ask for something different no matter what, but speaking as someone who has one and has been playing on it for the last few days, this thing is pretty great the way it is.
I wouldn’t hesitate to order another one right away if I didn’t have so many other projects going on at the moment. If you like the case just get one, don’t wait for a “final design” because everything beyond this point is just nitpicking and won’t really improve that much on what is already a great design.
That’s good, I’m mostly referring to the people that expect to see a design specially tailored to them, which we all know is imposible, and then never jump on the purchase because of that. Some things are essential and actually improve the design for everyone, others are just a matter of personal preference and those in particular can be never ending as everyone is going to want it to look or have what they like. Heck, I would probably prefer the plexi going out all the way to the etch but that is a minor nit pick that might only be good for me and not for everyone else so I don’t expect @Allfightsticks to modify their design just for me when it is fully funcional just the way it is.
I can see a lot more people actually wanting and liking the flush mount but I’m just using that as an example of something that shouldn’t be holding people back from getting these things. I’m sure there were lots of things people didn’t like about TEs but that didn’t stop them from getting them or waiting until MadCatz made the minor changes(if at all) to get them. These modifications can be a never ending slippery slope that can lead nowhere in an attempt to please everyone. The sad truth is that usually the nitpickers don’t even purchase anything and can just mislead the manufacturers who already have tons of feedback to sort through.
Again, this isn’t directed at you @ISKone . It is just a far too common thing that always happens when someone is offering a new product and looking for feedback.
I amhave sure you figured it out but just in case you didn’t… I do product development and engineering as well ad process engineering. My comment about betting nit picky is an extension of my thought processes around engineering and design, I love that.
Add far as aesthetics I like the mechanical look when it’s done right. SS button head cap screws on a contrasting or complimentary surface is always a win. Some cheap ass zinc or crappy black oxide Phillips head can ruin a look in a heartbeat. Some high quality black oxide would look nice on a box with flat black sides and a clear coat over raw steal though.
Anyways we getting off track. This looks like a top notch modular case and I’m very interested in it. If they had a Hitbox option they would probably (waiting on color options, lol) already have my money
Everyone is going to have a different opinion based on their personal preference and this is what AllFightSticks will have to weed out to not get lost in all the feedback. I agree, SS button head cap screws would look nice but that is something someone can get separately if they really want them (most of us already do for other cases) and shouldn’t be enough to hold them back from a purchase.
Things like a Hitbox option on the other hand are a completely different story. I hope they can eventually work something like that out for those that are interested in them.
We’ve been taking in all the feedback and just ordered some raw metal with the latest design. 25 combinations and 13 unique button layouts. All you need is a different top panel to change layouts. This model also includes larger feet and more option button combos, including on the sides. The PCB plate now supports 4 PCBs including the IST Pre-Installed Brook PS3/PS4 Fight Board PCB Kit. It’s hard to see but your layout is in there @Pablo_the_Mex
Anyone here complete one of these sticks recently? It’s been a while since this thread got any action. I’m Interested in possibly transplanting parts from my TEK case sticks to two of these cases.
Just need more pics for convincing. =)
Looks like (from FB pics) there’s a couple of Gen5 case batches in-progress. Nothing assembled yet though. Judging by the pics, they’ve taken on sizable orders. That’s why I find it strange that there hasn’t been more buzz on here.
