Actually story went super silly at MGS2, Kojima wanted to kill the franchise at this point and thats why am guessing we got Arsenal Gear, MG Ray being a direct rip from ZOE, the Patriots, Snake replaced by some lil gay dude, Solidus being named Solidus instead of Gas Snake, about a thousand other pieces of stupid shit.
MGS was pretty tight in the way it pushed the boundaries of believable hard fi, then shit just went off the scale. A motherfucker called Vamp who was called Vamp not because he was like a vampire, but because he was a fag. Wonder how many heads that bit of troll went over. He was having it on with Dolph of all people, a nigga who got wasted in a cut scene.
I guess the big bucks bought his Kojimas soul because he bounced back with the masterpiece that is MGS3 and well, shit was never the same. Making Big Boss the good guy is interesting but the retcon is so strong that the origin Metal Gear is now just to hard to believe. Also am not a fan of how Big Boss gets wrecked in many similiar ways as Solid, but the point is mute because we know how all this shit ends anyway.

It’s a deconstruction of sequels. It’s one of the few video games that actually qualifies as art, and is a commentary on the expectations of sequels, on top of a large commentary on the proliferation of mass information, but mainly a commentary on the expectations of sequels.

The entirety of Big Shell was just the Patriots AI gathering the Intelligence required to Manipulate world events and control the people.
Solid Snake Simulation was just Ocelot possibly not being informed of the true purpose of S3, or just fucking with Raiden/The player.
Patriots wanted to control information and show only what they want shown and keep secret what they want. Snake on the other hand wants people to have something to believe in and Have them pass it to Future generations.
Raiden is the one in the middle who really has no ideals or goals. His whole life was just him being used and controlled up until he beats Solidus where he finally finds something to fight for, and his personality starts to finally come out.
The only question now is, is Raiden’s personality coming out a good thing? Didn’t exactly go well for Big Boss in the end.
