Yeah, that makes me think of a question I had after the announcement of MGS5. Ok, in the original MG game, Snake is sent on the mission on orders from the U.S. government correct? And Big Boss is his commanding officer on that mission correct? No one knows Big Boss is a traitor yet, not til the end of that game as I recall. But in the timeline we have now, why would Big Boss be working with the U.S. In the 90’s? Seems like he’s already split and is doing his own thing. Are they retconning the original game?

Meh, who cares, I just think Kojima regrets a lot of crap and wants the series to really be about Big Boss more than anyone. The fall isn’t as interesting when you already know he’s going to fall.
That would be interesting, Big Boss and Zero being forced to unite again in the face of a huge threat but still working behind the scenes against one another.
I understood and knew the majority of the story like the back of my hand when I was like, in late middle school or something. Never had issues following it, even with retcons. Kingdom Hearts is a complex story I still can’t answer everything for though even if I were to sit down and do nothing but look it over for 2 hours.
Just an FYI MGO has been confirmed to be a PP thing and not in Ground Zeroes. Since GZ function is to ease us into the massive PP it will hold us off for a year while teaching us the basics. TBH MGS5 being split up was to avoid the massive wait and being spoiled by trailers like MGS4. I still think KJ will spoil the masses with trailers but at least you have GZ in the meantime. The most important point is MGO3 is NOT in GZ…it will be in PP.
^ If the game is actually “hundreds of times bigger than gz” we won’t see MGO3 till 2015 when PP launches. Guess Snaaaake will have to play MGO2 on PC till then which isn’t a bad thing.
mgo2 is supposed to be revived for hacked/cfw ps3s. IF they actually manage to bring it back online.
