Snakes voice is hard on his vocal cords. Would suck but you gotta take care of your vocals if you want to continue being a voice actor.

The guy has been doing this for a long time, and if the voice hurts his vocals, I can understand. I’m sure Konami EN would find a suitable replacement. His voice would be missed but not the end of the world.
It’s kind of like how Mark Hamill doesn’t want to do the Joker voice anymore since it hurts his vocals as well.

This. Peacewalker boss fights were just chores.
Not exactly a new rumor, but it is fairly recent. I don’t believe it though. I thought it was pretty obvious the guy was real but just covered up as some sort of PR stunt. I’m fairly certain “The Phantom Pain” is some sort of PR stunt for Ground Zeroes as well. The interview with this guy is obviously suspect, such as the interviewer wasn’t even talking to him in person (meaning shots were recorded at separate times and put together in editing). Not CG though.
I really have a hard time seeing anyone else voice Snake other than David. Steve Blum is the only person I was ever willing to hear voice Snake and even that’s a 100% last resort option because David does it so good.
But I 100% understand why he wouldn’t since the voice is really hard on him. I mean, have you heard David’s normal voice? It’s not deep at all. He definitely has to put a lot of effort into that voice.

Ah yeah, I forgot. Fury is one of my favorite boss fights in MGS3 though, hit and run all day with a bit of zoning due to dat fire.
+1 for Boss Fights in Peace Walker being shit. Portable Ops had shitty boss fights too, from what little I remember of it.

I loved stabbing Fury to hell and back with that fork. That weapon does a shitload of damage to him for some unexplainable reason
