The timeline is starting to come together, EDIT: I went back and did some more research and so far it looks like the game takes places (or at least starts in 1975) then moves ahead (after BB ends up in the hospital) to 1984 . Which would put the twins (solid and liquid) at 12 years old. from the looks of it this appears to be the approximate age of Eli in the trailer. The man in the trailer with the Diamond Dog beret I don’t think is Kaz. I may be sleep deprived, but it looks to be maybe a young Col. Campbell.
Looking at Liquid’s background on the MGS wiki page, it’s never mentioned that he was a child soldier. I can see the resemblence, but we’ll just have to wait and see I guess; you can never tell with Kojima cus that mother fucker is crazy.

I’d think so. In MGS1 Liquid says “[Big Boss] always told me that I was inferior” which implies that he had some kind of pre-established relationship with Big Boss. If they’re going to bring Liquid back into the series, it’d be the perfect time to do it.

I wonder if Quiet be related to Sniper Wolf somehow, either by blood relation or a mentor. If part of the game (at least Miller’s rescue) the game takes place in the Middle East in the mid 1980s, it’s possible that Wolf learned sniping from Quiet.
To me, Solid’s story ended in 4. He had about a year to live, & he wanted to live the rest of his life as a man. Maybe Kojima is going to remake the first Metal Gear titles that came out in the 80’s. Telling us a more detailed story of Solid being under BB’s command. That’d be cool.
