Wasn’t it revealed at the end of MGS1 that Liquid was actually the clone that had the dominant genes between him and Snake? Not to mention Snake always mentioned that the battlefield determined the skill of the soldier, not their genes (which was the entire point of MGS2, more or less).
Been a while though, but I swear I remember that being mentioned.
Sutherland being Big Boss isn’t a big deal to me, so long as the gameplay is there. And the plot isn’t a convoluted mess (haha like that’ll happen in a MGS game).

Gampeplay:
Crawling is back, the roll move might have been changed to a dive where snake immediately goes prone but recovers faster. He can jump to other ledges but if this is just the “roll jump” letting him do this, an actual jump button, or auto jump similar to LoZ, who knows. Aiming still looks to be over the shoulder which is good. As the trailer said, there is dynamic CQC. No idea what this could mean in the long run. I didn’t see a MK.22 in the trailer but that could just mean they didn’t show it.
If its MGS3 cqc but improved it will be good.

Glad we saw some gameplay, fuck all that spectacle and cutscene bullshit. Glad they’re focusing on gameplay mechanics, which looks superb so far.
