know what…I might actually do that(without controller). I just made another psn account and played through the hospital again hoping the new ID will let me play mgo3. nope…same gay error 10012. konami support emailed back with “did you try connecting to modem” when I FUCKING SAID I DID WHEN SUBMIT THE TICKET.

It could possibly be a patch issue. Error 10012 isn’t something exclusive to just MGO, it happens when the game can’t connect to the servers period. I know this because when I was first playing the game, I kept getting the same error and had to play offline. It seemed to fix itself when I deleted all the patch data, restarted my PS4 (don’t just put it into Rest mode, actually RESTART the system through the power options) and re-downloaded the patches.

It might not help, but you could try that. Other people have been experiencing the error as well.

Have you also considered it could be a problem with your NAT type? Are you able to connect to others on different games?

dont have any other game to test. I am on psn thats about it. nat type 2 on wired connection.

dont know if its the connection because I just hooked up my ps4 with my phone’s hotspot(its pretty fast and unlimited) and still got the exact same error. so I doubt its the net or router or any of that. how exactly do I delete patches? looking into that now…

Patch Data is located in Settings, under System Data Management or something. It might do you better to just try and delete the game and all its patch data entirely, shouldn’t take more than 5 or ten minutes to re-install it all if you bought the game on disc.

Anyone else feel like Defenders have it entirely too easy in Cloak and Dagger? They get stealth+Lethal and can just run the clock down.
Also, sniper rifles are fucking dogshit in this game for some reason.

Cloak and dagger is probably my favorite mode.

Last night I accidentally picked the wring loadout as a defender on black base. Nothing but a cardboard box. One of the discs was underground so I went to that one. Equipped the box right in front of the disc and dove out. Went prone where I wouldn’t be seen but had eyes on the disc. Sure enough 5 minutes later a single camo dude comes in and just stares at the box not sure if there was someone in it or not. Crept up on him, slammed him, poked him in the throat.

The day I single handedly defended a disc with only a box and a knife.

Make it so attackers can’t cloak.

Snipers also need to be stronger. Shouldn’t be unloading 3-4 shots in the dude. 2 at most, 1 for the head.

They also need to do something about the sway in FPM for all guns. Shit is ridiculous. Every gun, while in FPM, aims like you just got done downing a kegger.

I “reinitialize” EVERYTHING. basically complete reset/format/wipeASS and looks like now I am able to log in. hope this damn save file still works. made a copy on the usb drive. thanks for the idea tho. downloading the mgo data now. its probably gonna work now.

back up the save data to “cloud” then “initialize” ps4. basically you start over fresh and it should work. I did back up my save on a USB drive too but since konami is a piece of shit…the save file didn’t work and had to download from the cloud backup.

That feeling when you retaliate against some dude and, with perfect stealth, steal all his resources and staff from the FOB dev platform only for him to magically(cough hacker cough) show up just as you’re about to enter the exit. Then you perfect stealth past his ass and get sleep gas grenaded through a wall inside the control room and still win

Motherbase building is pissing me off. I’ve been extracting dudes that be A++ across the board, I’ve fired all my staff that is below B rank and when I get back to motherbase they are nowhere to be found. mgo3 is more close to mgo1 and NOTHING like mgo2. you should probably give it a try if you liked mgo1. still worse than mgo1 tho I can tell you that much…

wouldn’t matter even if it did. headhots are a myth in mgo3. the game focuses on spraying 2-3 bodyshot kill. same as call of doodoo except COD has better hit registration/detection.
