Nukes cannot be stolen, they can only be dismantled. This is has to happen BEFORE anyone tries to infiltrate any
of your FOBs. You can build 4 nukes at a time. Goodbye TWOHUNDREDTHOUSAND heroism. Fuck. _
Yeah—one would want to be well past the 300-400K heroism before doing any of that. Building up heroism back
to another 100K is not a joke and that’s what the whole meta-game of MGSV is after you’ve ‘completed’ the main
story mode—FOB/Nukes. (Until MGO3 that is).
I’ve already started a fresh 2nd playthrough of MGSVTPP to better figure out how to exploit faster highl-skill/rank
soldiers and MB-building. I’ve only just passed the first 100K heroism mark and I’m seriously tempted to already
start building nukes to keep people outta my FOBs until they’re fully upgraded.
Stopping them in person is actually a joke when defending. I’ve mentioned this before. 10 seconds is usually all it takes.
Find them. RPG them. Or shotgun for more miserable rubbing it in.
As for the story theories a lot of you poeple have about TPP, you have some fair points but there’s a famous quote
from movies that I think Kojima was heavily trying to point out here in TPP (amongst a list of other things) is also something
I saw mirrored in the last CODAW game.
“You either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
Both Kevin Spacy character in the COD game AND Venom Snake almost both do the same thing: They create an army (PF/PMC)
that becomes so lucrative and powerful that other governments/people fear them for their own selfish reasons and decided
that they’re ‘evil’ and want them gone.
CODAW plot is more about corporatacracy, MGSVTPP is more about how one could EASILY spiral out of control
with what you view as ‘neutral’ merc work. Interesting themes here. Shit that happens, *HAS *happened in our
real world (sadly).
you could also consider not being bad, and shooting them until they die with an automatic weapon. lmgs in particular destroy them. you can ALSO continuously bait the jump attack, and counter stab them with R2.
all these cheese tactics in this thread. ridiculous. every boss/enemy in this game is “shoot them until they are dead” except for the man on fire fight.
Peace Walker has a way better story than TPP, it’s just the gameplay was limited because it was a PSP game at first.
And the bosses weren’t that great except the Peace Walker and Zeke fight. I would have wanted bosses that weren’t machines all the time. TPP had interesting bosses but not enough/they were too easy.
Like, you can’t even move when you go prone, that’s how limited the PSP was for Peace Walker.
Fuck big boss it doesnt matter what hes done. Hes so bland and dry and whiny and mopey. Solid snake was a man who took his dick in his hand and fucked the system with it. He had a clear philosophy. I love the line from that bunnyhop review about Solid Snake being the only one to actually realize the bosses will…without realizing it!
I’m bummed that Kojima made Solid Snake super old by the time of MGS4, him and Otacon were huge bros in MGS2 and it doesn’t feel the same in MGS4 at all.
