You see the thing is, a sentence like this is only perceived as hostile when you want it to be, or if seen in the wrong context. It was originally written as something along the lines of when your friends fuck with you and you dont have a good come back so you just say “Man shut yo ass up!”. Of course, you naturally feel inclined to turn everything into a conflict, and you came back with an actual insult(a bad one at that).
As for the coffee thing, that’s exactly what it is. An emote for when you’re being a passive aggressive prick. That’s what it’s there for and exactly why people use it, myself included.
