Thanks for the link. I can’t wait to see what sort of crazy weapons Platinum has in store for the full game… The katana felt like it had enough depth to itself to last a while even without upgrades.

Sadly with games in this genre a demo exposes everything. It’s all about core combat and when it takes so many steps backwards, and the best thing about it boils down to transforming backgrounds…then…lmao. MGR demo was flawless the day it dropped and you know it. Don’t even lie to me or yourself.
Unreal engine is the worst thing to come out this gen.
Just from trolling some MGS fansites from years ago I remember MGS3 and MGS1 edging each other out for greatest in the series. Snake Eater was the most recent MGS at the time, and close to 40 years before MGS1 and still ended up feeling like a fresh modern take on the series.
I guess it’s sort of confirmed by the bosses being shown but there’s at least the made-of-arms Naginata/Whip and the Sai(s) from Mister pre-sliced cyborg deli meat boss. I’m guessing we’ll get Vamp’s sword maybe for some two sword action and I think there was something else. A spear perhaps or a lance type thing? I feel like I remember reading about that though before we saw the bosses and their weapons. I think four unique weapons is good enough for this game since weapons are so bloody focused in this versus Bayonetta where everything has some commonality.
