Find it funny that people are playing the bullshit card of “I don’t think this game is worth the $60 dollar price tag”. Like seriously, considering what you’re getting with the package, its worth it. Guess people are pissed at the DLC for it. I don’t see the problem.

This game is well worth the $60 price tag. It has for more replayability that most games on release with the same price.

People seem to forget that the most important thing about a game (besides being able to play it), is the GAMEPLAY. Somewhere along the line of this generation, developers forgot that a game isn’t only about presentation.
Just to be clear do you know that you can adjust the angle AND the camera in blade mode? If you know both of those things it really shouldn’t be that hard
Same here. Just finished the game again, on Hard this time, and the fight was A LOT easier. However, that can probably be credited to knowing what to do, having a fully-upgraded Muramasa Blade, and changing the BS Blade Mode controls to the Left Analog Stick.
Change the controls so the Left stick is for cutting and the Right adjusts the camera. Point the stick in the angle of the cut, make sure it’s lined up with all of the boxes, then let go. Don’t actually do a “slashing” motion with the stick. You don’t have to and just releasing gets the job done.
I avoided those platforms the final boss threw at you all together. I could never cut them properly, but you can ninja run around them if you know what you’re doing.

And I’m slightly dissapointed that they didn’t use Gray Fox’s original voice actor for the DLC skin instead of Raiden’s, but badass costume still tho.

This final boss fight is getting reeeeeal stupid. So somebody help me its starting to not be fun anymore.

Sometimes dodge works, sometimes parry works. I’m over it.
I don’t know why they would, considering you can’t see the costume in cutscenes since they’re pre-rendered anyways. Would be kind of silly either way. lol
Like the shit thats pissing me off is when he comes at you, then you have to commit to a parry which you can try to dash cancel out of but then he can just fake it into the unblockable blast which you cant ninja run out of because youre in the dash recovery frames. All his moves has wide ass hitboxes. His attacks come out so fucking delayed that it forces you to empty parry, then you get hit as raiden is recovering from the whiff parry, only parry comes out in anticipation of an attack.

This bosses AI is very unchoreographed and its kinda cheap with 0 rations and 4 attacks and you’re pretty much dead.

Not to mention the Zan cutscenes are like slicing a strand of hair down the middle.

He stands in the fucking fire so you cant even read his visual cue for what hes about to do. Lmao. This dude is a pure faggot.

This shit is getting ridiculous. I gotta work in the morning I need to beat this shit.

Then all the fucking videos on youtube are dipshits with powered up weapons and stats from already beating the game. I meant hearing Gray Fox’s voice during gameplay. His battle cries, grunts, not during the cutscenes

And the final boss is cheap as all hell, but he’s easily my favorite character in this game (possibly in the entire series).

You playing on Normal/Hard? The fight is pretty rough, yeah. Strong attacks do pretty solid damage, so be sure to take advantage of them when he’s in recovery from ground punches. It’s pretty risky attacking his back because his backhand comes out extremely fast. I didn’t really have any problem parrying his normal attacks. Safe bet is to do 1-2 light attacks and then try to parry just in case. Spam the hell out of dodge when he tries to tackle you. With the Zandatsu segments, you have to make sure you move your camera and then cut for most of them. You should have more than enough time. Once you get the Zandatsu part done, the fight becomes much easier since he’ll drop nanopaste right after the Zandatsu.
So I figured out how to own him, or…get him down to 93% on hard with 0 rations.

The problem with this boss like the other bosses is the camera does weird shit sometimes and they are constantly coming at you from far away and your viewpoint is often skewered. I keep dying by accidentally doing the wrong move. Add the screen hazards from the flames cutting off random portions of the screen and this can really be a nightmare. I’m replaying from the beginning making sure I start the battle with 5 rations and I’m sure he’s toast this time.

Anyway as far as strats go:

1. run up Light Attack > ff+Light > Backtep evade slash (d+Light+Jump). HE HAS NO ANSWER FOR THIS. This will constantly whittle down his lifebar and with Raidens standard weaksauce katana the end cancels into the backstep slash that is out of range to all his closerange attacks. ff+Light in general is OP as it automatically option selects between the slash and parry Whore it out.

2. unblockable full circle blast << backstep evade slash x2

3. unblockable dashing grab << sidestep evade slash

4. I dont even bother parrying his melee attacks because they are unpredictable. He has 2 different 1 hit slashes, one is heavily delayed. he has a 3 hit combo and then he randomly does a single hit after the 3 hit combo, usually if you parry the 3 hits. He has a dash kick that he randomly does if you come at him head on from far away. At any time he can always then go for his lame projectiles, or throw you off with the unblockable dash throw. So just stay away from him up close.

5. “traveling ground flame” and “cracked earth flames” have similar animations and one requires you to instantly move but they other gives you a second to decide where to run. “cracked earth flames” makees the ground suck in so you can tell the difference.

6. Sill dont have a real strat against the flames that cut off the screen that consistently gets you out of harms way at all ranges. Easiest to avoid when you have a bit of space, but sometimes the camera puts you in awkward spots.

7. Run towards the screen to avoid him when he throws the platforms. You can get a cheap hit in after he lands and jumps up there again
Nevermind, everything I posted you figured out. And yeah, when I had trouble I went to look up some videos. This woman was killing his life bar. Turns out she was playing on NORMAL, while I was playing on HARD, and she had Sam’s sword maxed out.

What’s everyone’s favorite Main Weapon/Unique Weapon combo? I’m running Muramasa+BloodLust. Dwarf Geckos are the worst when using Bloodlust because it’s so slow but it rapes armor and it’s maxed damage is crazy. I can easily take down armored enemies and those mooing gears rather quickly on Very Hard. Mastiffs are nothing as well.
<font face=“Arial, Verdana”>I’m only using the HF blade. I only just got the Muramasa so I haven’t upgraded it yet. I just love the way Raiden handles the sword and it makes me feel the most stylish/badass. <span style=“line-height: 1.7em;”>But if I use a Unique Weapon it’s the Staff.
<span style=“line-height: 1.7em;”>

<span style=“line-height: 1.7em;”>Talking about Unique Weapon’s, am I the only one pretty dissappointed with Bloodlust and especially the Sai. They have their use, but they barely have any moves and it makes them kinda boring to use.

I don’t think I’ve used dodge for anything so far lol. I just Ninja Run if I wanna avoid stuff.

I can’t get over the animation and effects in this game. I love the way Raiden actually transitions into a walk and I find myself boss walking a lot in this game before I fuck shit up. The sense of weight behind parries is sooo good too.
that field goal kick sort of ruined the whole final boss vibe for me, I can get where people are saying its a parody

armstrong is fucking me up, wtf i a bmc? ive just been going in raw with no lube on these bossess is it when your in the middle of a combo and use blade mode to cancel the animaton of the last htit??
