PS3 fans - is this game available for DL on the PSN yet? I’m looking at the store now and while there’s an entry on the featured pages clicking on it just gives me a commercial and I can’t find it searching under Games -> New PS3 games or even All PS3 Games -> Sort by newest.

Honestly I think it’s fine that the sub-weapons
take your Tri. attack. This game ISN’T about huge(emphasis on the huge
since there is still room for combos) stylish combos, which is supported
by the fact that there isn’t really any combo rating system outside of
simply number of hits. I think the emphasis for high-level play is going
to be simply about the quickest most efficient play. Obviously just by
nature of the game there’s room for combos and crap, but I feel like
that’s really only going to be seen in some cases. Most large enemies
can’t be juggled at all, and for the basic enemies you don’t really want
to spend that much time on them if you are going for S ranks.

If you’re trying to make a combo video or something then of course all that goes out the window, but yeah.

I agree which is why crochpuncha and I have come to the natural
conclusion if anything it has more in comparison with NG. Though this
plays like one thing and one thing only…RISING!

@Din0

1. Adjust the camera while using the Ninja Run to move out of danger and get a clear picture. Hence the always moving philosophy platinum established. You have to toggle lock on while doing this it takes a bit of practice but most of the headache vanishes.

2. VR missions are the real tutorial of the game, when you get 1st place rank it assures you’ve learned the lesson well. Though I admit you have to find the VR missions so in a way that is a problem for people who just wanna RTSD. The move list is in the start menu under help I think? Every time you unlock new abilities it gets updated.

3. So far I’m loving the story but I get the feeling a lot of people on here aren’t even listening to the codec conversations. You do realize there are new ones EVERY TIME a new enemy is around, every area, every boss fight from almost every character? Not to mention they have multiple conversations in a given circumstance. I literally spent hours listening to them…
Codecs are a double edged sword. They are a convenient way to develop characters and the overall story without having to resort to long cinematics. Since they are codecs obviously are optional to listen to but the negative side is most people overlook them. I kid you not the conversations were MUCH more longer than the cinematics in chapter 1 by far.

Now that I think of it there is a trophy for listening to a majority of them. Honestly though I like the philosophical discussions about the ethics of cyborg enhancements in modern day society.

4. The no weapon switching on the fly has a lot in common with Ninja Gaiden. The emphasis is more on combat and they give you a variety of weapons to use in different circumstances. Although they don’t want you to get too combo crazy since that isn’t the overall philosophy of the game. The fact that you can BMC and combo into his “rage” will satisfy those looking to expand in the combo department. I know the heavy attack gets replaced but I haven’t played the game on max difficulty to truly get the idea of how to play this game properly. I thought NG wasn’t that great till I played “Master Ninja” and I started to realize the depth it had.
Everyone check your PSN profiles! I got 10 dollars credit for free, guess this is a thanks and a hype up for the PS4 announcement coming in shortly. Will probably use this towards Rising DLC once it comes out. :)
I feel like I’m 14 again…

Edit: Tried checkin out Youtube for some tips but there’s just scrub play on Normal. That Helicopter shooting at you makes all the difference. Fuckin bastards annoying lol.

Well thanks Killy guess I just gotta get faster with the blade mode line ups. I’ll admit I been pretty lazy with practicing that, usually just lining it up with one stick and using square to slice. That doesn’t look to cut the mustard on Sundowner tho. Will have to practice aiming with both sticks.

If you’re too lazy I’ve seen a trick where you can just evade slash to sundowner’s back when he puts the shields up and cut him down…

However, you reactions need to be up to par… other than that… use both sticks…
The credit is worldwide from what I hear but it’s random. Some people who have been loyal PSN supporters got nothing while others who only bought a few items got it and vise versa.

The interesting thing is apparently people have gotten random credits before but this is the first time it has happened on a mass scale.

I can’t beat the last boss. First Zandatsu part is killing me every time. Help would be appreciated since I’m either the biggest idiot in the world or my game is bugged and this part is literally impossible. I’ve died probably ten to twelve times from this so far.

Last Boss
Spoiler
So I get Armstrong to the first Zandatsu part where he chucks a big pillar at you. I destroy the first part fine. Second part I cannot get three or four points to line up no matter how hard I try or take my time. Then I die. Am I missing something here?

[details=Spoiler]
This part you need to line up the cut and move your blade mode camera around. Yeah, I died a lot here too.
[/details]
I know the Pincer and Sais are limited but holy shit the Sais are fun. Swing your word a few times and they’ll stun whoever you hit. I ran through Chp 1 quickly and it even stunned Mistral (stunned a lot shorter though).

Things people may have not noticed:

-Pincer Blade and Sai let you still do your swords Heavy Unique ground attacks (f,f+H, b,f+H, 360+H)

-There is something like dodge offset at least for the sword. If you’re doing triangle attacks, dodge when you press triangle to attack when the dodge is over, you’ll do the following attack. I was even dodging 2-3 times in a row and still getting this to work. Needs further experimentation.

Sundowner is free to dodge left/right, if anyone’s having any trouble with him. Just play around with those tools mid combo and you can pretty much lock him into an endless loop. Easiest boss imo.

Nub question but how the hell do you side step/dodge in this game? I learned that skill after the first chapter but I haven’t seen it trigger once and there’s no explanation on the skill in the skill menu at all.

I really enjoy how you can do Ninja Run and do that classic climb up an enemy and kick off their back. It staggers them and interrupts their attacks so it’s pretty useful during unblockable enemy attacks with long start up animations.

Jump+Weak attack+up/down/left/right.
I see you on the PS3 so it’s square+x+ any four of those directions.

It’s a skill you have to purchase and it’s in the movelist located in help when at the pause menu. If you don’t see the move listed then you haven’t purchased it.
