I just spent like 2 hours filling out my MGO survey. Hopefully someone actually reads it. LOL
Basically it comes down to: MGO is a great game but needs more community oversight. So it’s like, leave things the way they are (which sucks) or build in more admin features that allow Konami to “police” the game – which isn’t gonna happen cuz that costs too much $$$.
So I was like – why don’t y’all hire 2 or 3 interns to play MGO for like 8-10 hours per week each (preferably during survival/tourny) and BAN THE SHIT OUT OF ANY MOTHERFUCKERS CHEATING WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!!
That would just cost a few hundred bucks a month and after a few months they could probably back it off a bit. And I bet it would totally scare the community straight. Or maybe not if it just costs a few bucks to make a new character. Anyway, just a thought. Seems more feasible than the alternatives.
Got my Assassin’s Creed II platinum tonight – glad to be done with THAT game. I did not enjoy it much at all. =/

all konami needs to do is monitor ONE tournament. just one and they’ll find 20+ glitchers right there. I am starting to think they dont really care that much and need that exp moneyz to run the servers or whatever. maybe they should consider releasing it as standalone game for psn/xbl someday with issues fixed and monitor the community. I mean this is an amazing game compared to every other online shooter. everyone should get a chance to play it(xbl would bring in twice the money)

That’s because Konami made all the expansions when MGO was released. But decided to release it one by one over time to prolong the games life span. Truth is they have no new plans to create another expansion

Most of my friends who play MW2 almost everyday gave MGO2 a chance, but they didn’t like it. They complained how the “balance” between rushing and camping is shifted more towards camping, and how slow-paced it is. They really hated the C.Box item too, they said how it was cheap for a player to hide in a box and then just pop out of nowhere to get an easy kill.
It’s a shame how people can’t adapt, but well, you can’t change what people think I guess…

I see why MGO is underrated and isnt as popular as it should be. it probably is hella popular in japan though. I saw a picture where they had FOUR full lobby with 950 people each AND 500+ in newbie rooms. thats a…lot of people.
