Does Satsuki have any air combos to speak of? I’ve actually grown quite fond of her and I think she’s the gal I’m going to stick with.
Satsuki is the only character that has no chains, but she has an pseudo air combo:
charge j. C > charge j. C > charge j. C
That does 3518 damage
If you have enough meter, you can do something like charge j. C > charge j. C > 623C > repeat. You can do up to 3 x 623C > 623B. 4823 damage
In the corner, ou can also follow up with a Blood Heat 41236C, but only after one charged j. C. about 5100 damage.
The idea is the following: her j. C can be charged (you charge a move by keeping the button pressed), and if the charged j. C hits, the opponent is slammed and bounces from the floor, allowing for an extra hit. Game rules puts a limit of 2 slams, so you can do up to two j. C and a followup.

Here’s my crap.
reAct demo Ciel resets, each combos at almost 6k(Ukemi required):
launcher, 2xx3 xx d,d+2 xxqcb+3 then wait a bit, and either airdash forward(dodges most post air recovery counter attempt) and airgrab into 2xx3 xx d,d+2 xxqcb+3, wait a bit into 2nd jump, airgrab, 2xx3 xx d,d+2 xxqcb+3. After the last qcb+3, do either d,d+1(or 2), or qcb+1(once) to cancel landing recoveries.
That reset goes either way: you can do the airdash one and airjump, or airjump and then airdash. If they don’t ukemi, then just d,d+3(air), land and qcf+3 into another launcher.
Ciel in the trial version also has a glitch where if she is hit during the startup of qcf+3(when she is on the ground), the screen will stay frozen in the “darkened background” mode, and give the opponent a LONG ASS hitstun that lets you do combos for about 3~4 seconds. You can trip the opponent, and they’ll still be in the freeze. But you can’t super, if you do the freeze will be reset.

Yeah I thought it was something like that. I tried linking something off her c.C and then a c.A afterwards, but all I could get in was a jab or two in the air and nothing.
Also, in the newest patched release the super grab can’t be comboed into itself (ala Yukinose’s vid), correct?

It can be. Also here’s a Satsuki combo that I can only dream of ever doing… Notice that it’s a ground combo, Satsuki has no air combo ability outside of what VMan has said.
As linalys said, yes you can. The difference is that when Yukinoze used Satsuki grabs did not scale down, leading to horrendous damage. Now they do.
What version is the newest patch for (if you don’t mind me ignorantly asking)?
Hey VManOfMana, I was trying to view some of the EFZ replays off that site and most of them seem pretty bugged out. 95% of them just start as both characters losing all their life instantly and falling down, then getting up, then falling down again. Is there some kinda patch I need to download to get these replays to work right?
Newest version is v2.004. I also have the same problems with the EFZ replays. Are they for specific versions only or something?
Buktooth, Lynalis: replays will not work if your game version is different than the replay’s version. If the replay is in 3.10’s discussion, then make sure you have 3.10. I suppose that is a reason why EFZ has so many different versions in the page, besides the tweaks between each versionm.
If the replay is too old it may be also because of a version change. 3.10 was released on 2/12/04
I will check a replay of the BME page to see what’s up.

The replays are on the character matchup page I linked in page 27 of this thread. There is EFZ and ReACT discussion, with character tables and replays (not much on ReACT yet, it’s still mostly EFZ)

Match Replays
Main Menu -> Versus -> Replay
Training Replays (combo replays)
Main Menu -> Training -> Hit up the menu in training and you’ll see an option replays
Save your replays in the “replay” folder in your main EFZ folder. Run EFZ, then click on replay, and exit the game. That should create the folder.
All replays need to be saved with the following name:
dataX-Y.rep
Where X is the page number and Y is the replay number of the page X. The value of X and Y has to be between 1 and 9 inclusive.
To run a replay, just run ERZ, go to Replay, and select the replay you want. up/down move within the page. left/right move between pages. Once you select a replay, you will get three options:
Run replay
Record replay
Go back
If you select record replay over a replay that already exists, it will tell you if you want to overwrite.
