NOTE: Satsuki’s 90% damage combo by doing those repeated EX Air-Grab ONLY works in ReACT 2.000. The “update” patch that was later released. (That makes it 2.001) porates the damage of those EX Air-Grab so the damage isn’t that insanely high. (Which is good, that combo damage was too much) Basically, you STILL can do it, but the damage is very reduced to “normal” standards.

Oh yeah, “RPD” files are ReACT saved files. Just put it in the ReACT section folder, load the game, and play it. You can watch combos and strats saved from that way.

I play both EFZ and MB with some gaming friends, though with the exception of one they don’t take the games too seriously. If I am bored I spend some time on training.

If I could just chagne the keyboard controllers. As it is right now it is too crammed for my hands. I usually play EFZ with the arrows and Z, X, C, V. Using N, M, <, > gets tiring after a while.

I haven’t really made any replays as of late, because I know anything I do will be outdone by some Japanese player… :stuck_out_tongue: Although I’m thinking of doing another Ren one, since Ren’s gotten so many changes in 2.002… no OTG throw, no combo after air throw, 5+C no longer hits OTG… yeesh. That and the constant patching makes these replays out of date quickly. The game’s not even been out for a month.

Oh, I’m kalciane, btw.

Does anyone know the exact path from which i have to copy the files from the mbr setup?

O_O?

I’m curious to know what your experiences with EFZ have been character-wise. We’ve (my friend and I) only been playing a few weeks, but so far the best character seems to be Misaka (reppu-ken girl). Her suck-in super is fantastic and she seems to have decent traps with her reppu-kens. Other than that, nobody has really stood out (keep in mind he just got Bad Moon a couple days ago and we’ve yet to play it against each other. The Vanessa rip-off is looking mighty tasty…).

IronChef, your pm box is full.

Just so you know, the extracting’s done, but there’s no temp folder with any files where you said it was, no in that general area either.

:o

I’ll empty and get back at ya…

Just use WinRar to extract the files from the .exe

Well, the game is very well balanced. I would say that Blue Sky’s was slightly more balanced, but there is not much abusable stuff in Bad Moon so I won’t complain.

I play almost everybody, but my main characters are Misaki, Mai, Mio, Nayuki, Doppel Nanase, Sayuri, Misuzu and Minagi. Let me start with these:

Misaki: rush down character, despite being slowed down a lot from previous versions. In EFZ she had infinite dashes plus more speed. Overall she was toned down in Bad Moon, but she gained a non-super counter and can still make a lot of damage. Grab super has nice setups, and counter super PWNS. Very dependant on reinforce. Has a 100% combo but don’t even try to get the timing.

Mai: the most changed character in Bad Moon and easily the most nerfed. In EFZ she had a nice looking but overpowered mixups with her familiar. In BSE the mixup was harder to use. In Bad Moon they just redesigned how the familiar works so they took it out. So the familiar lost her abusability, but Mai got a lot of more options. She still can attack from both the front ant the back, but not as easily as before. Her teleport cannot go thru characters any more but can followup with autoguard attacks. Her 6A/6B slashes got nerfed too. She is supposedly low tier now, but still solid and a lot more interesting with the new familiar system.

Mio: she stayed as top tier from BSE to BME for the simple reason that she is overall a very solid character. If one mode does not work well the other should be fine. The funniest character to see just because of all the parodies. I personally prefer blue mode, but sometimes switch to red mode when playing keepaway. Just solid overall. Blue mode needs a lot of meter, but the qcb qcb super is worth it. Got a Ciel reference too!

Nayuki: took me a while to get used to her, but she is a fun character. Lots of mixups with her air dashes, good EX moves, good range, can play both keepaway and rushdown, decent combos. In BME she is finally able to combo her hidden super. You need to make sure to eat those jams, so characters that knock you down easily can be troublesome to deal with.

Doppel Nanase: the game needed a more serious grappler than Rumi and here she is. My favorite of the new BME characters. She has problems against good zoners but I just like to go for those grabs. She got good pokes, but not many options when she is not in the opponent’s face.

Sayuri: she was the Kyosuke of EFZ and now she is top tier. Not that many options but those she has are very good. Careful with being predictable, though. Can rush down very welll and has solid combos. Abuse EX Magical Press and learn how to combo after that.

Misuzu: she lost her mixups and her corner combos are not as retarded, but didn’t change much after that. Jumping C is a very good crossup, and dog super can chip a lot. Easiest air combos in the game, IMO.

Minagi: her normals suck, but combined with Michiru she can give you so many headaches with her mixups its not funny. I have been increasingly using her since BME came out.

The rest:

Ayu: toned down in BME. Combos make less damage, less juggle potential, lost her spinning attack for a taiyaki dive that is not good as a wakeup. But still got very good normals, and damaging combos. qcf qcf super got beefed up as well. Still has the best lv. 1 super in the game.

Will finish them up later.

Just to emphasize: this game is extremely well balanced. The top tier has a +6 game difference and the bottom tier has a -6. That’s a difference of 12 wins between both ends, and considering that a +0 is 95 wins, that’s nothing at all. Heck, there are only four 7/3 matchups.

A Miyako sprite rip.

Edit - Oops. There’s sort of a black spot where there shouldn’t be one. I’ll post the fixed sprite if anybody wants it.

  1. Thanks to Ironchef, I got it all working. Fucking awesome. Thanks for putting up with me Iron, and to the lot of you for helping out along the way and dealing with my whining.

  2. Now that it’s all installed exactly how many patches do I need to download? One, correct? To adjust the gameplay, no?

  3. Is there anything else I need?

  4. Vman, can you read off the match ups for QoH99, I just started playing that, it’s so much fun.

Nope. I can read katakana and hiragana, but since most names are mostly kanji its just an issue of identifying the characters. I often have to go back to the manual to see how to write each character’s name.

Edit: QoH is broken :stuck_out_tongue: Anywas, I can identify some names:

Top three are Tiria, Comodo and Rabido. Serio is 12th. Akari is 13th. Korin is 18. Osage is 23. Remii is 25. Multi is 26 (boo)

Ok, well then does Denpa own the game, or am I being silly?

Also, I’ll ask you my questions, as Iron is offline right now.

  1. In MB there was a ‘simple’ option. It turned the modeled backgrounds into simple background images with no rendering needed. Is that option available here in reACT? The computer’s only a year old, but it’s not exactly build for computer gaming really, and it already slows down on the foggy park stage.

  2. Is that all the characters available from the selection screen? Any one hidden?

Nope. I can read katakana and hiragana, but since most names are mostly kanji its just an issue of identifying the characters. I often have to go back to the manual to see how to write each character’s name.

Egad. I keep seeing more and more mistakes everytime I put it up. Hopefully the final version.

cool!

I hope you don’t mind, I scaled it down and modified the animation a bit.

edit: something weird was happening on the 9th frame I couldn’t figure out.

  1. It’s available. Last option in the first section.

  2. No hiddens are available without a hack, and all the hiddens are in some stage of incompleteness; Neco-Arc and White Ren are the only two really playable ones, Executioner Ciel and Aoko are missing most of their animations.

Don’t mind at all. It does look better after you trimed it down.

What about the gal who gave Shiki his glasses, and I think one or two other folks, no?

Anyways, thanks :D. Ill go test that option out. Is it the left or right option XD?

Alright. Borrowing from Holy Knight’s work, this is totally the final version. Here’s the sprite but 2.5x smaller (file sizewise).
