Aren’t ISO files usually required to be burned first? Well, on my MB cd, there’s an .exe setup file. It didn’t work on my friends comp, and had some window popping up afterwards, so I just used WinRar to extract the files from the .exe to the Melty Blood folder. Overwrote everything and ReAct worked.

I had some major problems with ReAct as well. What I did was re-install mb and then mbr back to back and it succeeded. Those patches and stuff might have some conflict with it.
What do you use to burn your images to cd?
Obviously it’s not the default program my computer came with. Maybe if I try burning mbr and then installing it that way it might work.

Exactly. All I did was install Melty Blood, then installed ReAct, and it worked fine. No need to patch Melty Blood…
I think I found a safer launcher for Ciel:
A > C > 2C > 4C > air combo
In other words, don’t do the second 2C after the sweep. What she will do instead is the knife attack, which does not leave completely open like the 2C does if blocked. 4C is jump cancellable, so you can follow up with an air combo. My eye tells me that 4C has a block frame advantage of 0, so she cannot be AHVB’ed by Shiki.
However, it appears that you cannot jump cancel 4C if you alread did A > C > 96 > j.B > j.C > land > A > C, so it’s not usable in the long combo.
A > C > 2C > 4C > j.C > j.B > air jump > j. C > j. B > air dash > j.C does about 3992.
Plus, with 22C at the end does 4876
Plus, with j. B > j. C in the beginning it does 5383
With j.B > j. C > air dash > j.B > j.C in the beginning it does about 6000

Did you happen to call on the help of YellowS4? When I put these games on my computer I didn’t install a single thing (as in, run any installers).
As for it not letting you extract it with winrar, my friend was having the same problem. Make sure you aren’t trying to run the setup file directly from the .iso. What I’m saying is, extract ONLY the mbr setup file from the .iso. If that works, you should get something like looks like a safe (more like a microwave). Double-click that, it’ll start self-extracting a gang of files onto your system. At the end you’ll get an error message. LEAVE THAT UP. With that window up, go to the temp folder, yoink all those files that were just extracted and throw them in your current Melty Blood folder. Then run the “mbr.exe” and you should be set.
Oh, and the music in this game is way too ear delicious.

I’m going to uninstall and delete everything I have tonight, and then put it all up again, but in the manner you suggest IronChef. I tried extracting the other folder in the iso, so that might be the problem.

I play vs. with a friend of mine. We haven’t really gotten a chance to really break it though (we end up playing Eternal Fighter Zero more often).
