The RadioShack converter, AFAIK, isn’t produced anymore. I went to a few different Radio Shacks looking for one. One store even tried to special order it for me, and they told me the system says that it is out of production. Unless the store has stock on hand you are out of luck.
I got mine off Ebay (2 player model) and it works like a dream with all my sticks. Just copy and paste the following into ebay search and the guys auctions will pop up. $7 with shipping
Wow, drivers on a floppy, that’s old school, haha. It would actually be a pain for me since I would have to use someone else’s computer to move the driver’s onto a CD considering that my computer doesn’t even have a floppy drive…
Edit: Anyway, I was thinking of ordering one of these. Or actually the dual version since it’s only a few dollars more.
So really…is there no cross-ups in this game? I just checked with Ciel and Miyako and I could block their cross-ups on both sides. Has there ever been crossups or did they scrub up this game?
I believe what it is is that if you are holding back, you will walk backward… but you wont turn around if someone crosses you up. Because of this, you can just continue to hold back and you will block them even if it isn’t the correct direction. I don’t know how it applies to croutch blocking or in the middle of an attack string.
I failed to see any walking animation when I got the cross-up set up so that the character blocking didn’t move at all. So I don’t understand how your suggested correlation of said phenonmena works. Or maybe I’m misunderstanding you?
What I think they did was, if the game registers that a move will cross-up, it will enable you to block on both sides. Also, I don’t think this turn-around animation has anything to do with being able to block on both sides when crossed up, because you can cross-up a blocking opponent without them having to turn around, and they’ll still be able to block on both sides.
Where ever the real answer lies, I’ll be searching for it later because I’m too lazy to do test it out scientically right now.
What I mean is if you are just holding back, you will walk backward. If someone jumps over you, you continue to walk backward (now toward where the other person is). If they attack you from that side, it doesn’t matter that you are blocking in the wrong direction, you will still block. Because of this, you can’t cross someone up while they are standing.
I don’t know if the walking animation is related to the crossup thing, but what seems to happen is that as long as you don’t let go of holding back, a crossup won’t ever hit you.
Okay, I see what you mean now. One thing to add though: you can actually walk forward and still block the cross-up on both sides. I got a replay of it if any one wants it.
The X-Box360 controllers work with PC, but I don’t know how good they are with fighting games, I’ve never tried one before.
Also don’t know why this hasn’t been posted around more, but there is a map of where all Doujin fighter players are around the US starting up: http://www.frappr.com/worldofeternity
I would assume everyone is welcome to post their location.
As long as it is the same style of pad it is good. The pad I got is a Dual Action, which is pretty much a cheaper, nonrumble version of the Rumblepad 2. So if you don’t need the analogs you can just go for the Precision 2.
MondayFriday I am free after work (6:007:00pm). Weekends I am free all day except for the second weekend of the month (that would this weekend in November).
I don’t have internet yet, but I check my messages every two or three days. If you got a number I can call you to, send me a PM with your contact info
Everyone says that the Xbox360 controller is better than the Xbox one; and I use an Xbox controller for almost all my fighting games. IDK…just kinda picked it up one day. At first it seems awkward (only if you play fighting games on a PS controller); but after awhile of playing with it…you can tell that it works alot better. I actually play Melty Blood with an Xbox controller; works fine for me…granted I don’t play at high levels, or anything like that.
French Bread intentionally did this because they are lazy. Actually the official reason was that since keyboards can’t accept multiple simultaneous inputs, they don’t want you to use keyboards so they don’t officially support them.
