Melty Blood: Act Cadenza coming for PS2

You will now be known as Vchin.

Gaaaaaaaaooooooooo!!!

O cool thx for the info!

I put “official” in quotes because everyone in Japan tends to call her Sacchin rather than Satsuki.

When is it coming out or being ported??? an dis it in japan already

This gives me a reason to play the game again  fucking awesome!!!

now on to work:sad:

she has…cool-ness :lovin:

Ive been waiting for ms. blue for a looooong time now (9a) and i refuse to NOT have her as my ‘serious’ character. i’ll make something work w/ her. dedication > ‘sucky character’ . :arazz:

VChin!

I call dibs on Neko-arc~

I have to say this before Gwyrgyn Blood rags on it.

LOL @ guard cancel. It works against anyone as anyone. Doing almost anything. Go read the SRK MB:AC wiki for more info.

Seems pretty neat but broken as hell. Timing feels pretty close to doing karas.

So much for “Final Tuned”. Bleh.

I hope this doesn’t work in AC…yeah right. Just watch players abuse the hell out of this at SBO.

Hey now…

How much meter does this use? Wondering if perhaps the cancel stopped the meter consumption or something.

1F roll isn’t that big of a deal, with a lot of practice you could have it down reliably Worst case that you mess it up… you still do the Bunker. This sounds like a pretty crazy nasty technique to me.

There have been Japanese players that have been using this technique for the last few months. This is only new to us ignorant American players.

It uses no meter, but you can not do it if you have less than 50% meter.

Getting the shield bunker when you honk it is fairly bad, as you DO lose the meter and you also run the risk of getting hit out of the shield bunker (or you may lucksack your way into random damage, who knows).

Uhhh… wtf?
That doesent seem broken at all.

Well, I don’t really know if this would be for better or worse. It could just end up benefitting the good characters the most and make the game worse balanced… but it could also work toward evening things out (it’s another technique that anyone can do).

But it might just make the game more turtley, I don’t really know.

GRAB GRAB GRAB GRAB GRAB GRAB GRAB GRAB!!!

Omg Its 3s All Over Again, Noeeeeeeeezzzz

You make it sound like a bad thing

I’m not so sure a timer reduces turtling. For example, I was watching the SBO 04 (Guilty Gear) DVD the other day, and in the semi-finals or something a Baiken got a couple hits in during the first 10 seconds, and then pretty much just turtled the rest of the round. He was simply letting the timer run out, which wouldn’t have been a valid tactic if there was no 99 second limit in the first place.

When you have a timer, you can say “Okay, if I successfully turtle for the next X seconds, I will win.” When there is no timer, you can’t set such a strategy. Landing enough hits to kill your opponent becomes a requirement to winning.

A timer increases turtling.

Hell, it’s the one thing us EC MBR folks wanted most from the game.

Now people like Saiyd (ZTB) won’t feel guilty by running away for 97 seconds.

On another note, after watching some more AkAkiha matches I was just curious as to how here 623 loops are done. Someone happily correct me on this:

In the corner: 2ABC, 623+C, land, 2+C, 623+A, land, 2+C, 623+A, 2+C, done?

Also, when some of you say I should combo 5C after 2abc, how do I follow that up in the corner, just dash after it and B,B to launch?

;O?

Good point. I guess I rarely make it my point to run the timer down, so I don’t really think about it like that.

#meltyblood:<Saiyd> 2abc 5c(slam) 5c 2c 5**b air combo

It gives Satsuki a 1 frame counter out of blockstun that knocks down(edit: wallslams, not knocks down, im fired). It’s pretty bad.
It can also be used to create techniques that don’t normally exist in the game. You can create a ghetto GCFS. You can also nullify the advantage on very common frame advantage normals/specials, and sometimes go as far as to punish them. (Ciel 5CC, Miyako Stomps, Sion warning shots.)

I wouldn’t go as far as to call it broken, but it definately might make you question your strategy against someone who knows how to do it consistently.
